"AND HE WILL MEET HIS END
WITH NO ONE TO HELP HIM."

(The prophecy of Daniel 11:40 to 12:13 NEB & NWT).

The one who has acted on "rumours from east and north" and "overrun land after land", and will finally "pitch his royal pavilion between the sea and the holy hill, the fairest of all hills" and so "meet his end with no one to help him", is satan and the demon forces he uses to exert his evil authority over all mankind.  (Dan 11:40  45 NEB).

The prophecies through Daniel for the "time of the end" have both a literal and a spiritual fulfilment. The "holy hill" of Mount Zion is the city of Jerusalem and spiritual "Mount Zion". (Heb 12:22-24 NEB). The "sea" is the Mediterranean Sea and the "sea" of mankind. (11:45 Moffatt). The "palatial tents" planted between the "sea" and the "holy hill" are military forces installed by satan in Israel to impose his evil authority and unsealed JW 'elders' installed in congregations worldwide to deny mankind access to faithful anointed sons of God and The Christ Michael     "the holy mountain of decoration".  (11:45).

When military forces inspired by satan enter the city of Jerusalem, The Christ Michael shall appear with heavenly authority from God over all mankind. (12:1 NEB). Then there will be "a  time of distress such as has never been since (Israel) became a nation till that moment."  The literal fulfilment of the "time of distress" is "when you see Jerusalem encircled by armies, then you may be sure that her destruction is near. Then those who are in Judea must take to the hills; those who are in the city itself must leave it, and those who are out in the country must not enter; because this is the time of retribution, when all that stands written is to be fulfilled. Alas for women who are with child in those days, or have children at the breast! For there will be great distress in the land and a terrible Judgement upon this people. They will fall at the sword's point; they will be carried captive into all countries; and Jerusalem will be trampled down by foreigners until their day has run its course."  (Luke 21:20-24 NEB).

The spiritual fulfilment of the "time of distress" is that "during that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of your people. And there will certainly occur a time of distress such as has not been made to occur since there came to be a nation until that time. And during that time your people will escape, every one who is found written down in the book." (12:1).  The "sons of your  people" are the sons of faithful anointed men (spiritual "Israel") resurrected to heaven. (12:2,3). The "time of distress" are the evil spirit attacks by satan and his demons upon the "sons of your people" after these anointed members of the heavenly "woman" of God are resurrected, as it is written: "At this the dragon (satan) grew furious with the woman, and went off to wage war on the rest of her offspring, that is, on those who keep God's commandments and maintain their testimony to Jesus." (Rev 12:17 NEB).  As for "there  came to be a  nation",  they are the "great crowd" of saved ones "written down in the book" of life.  (Rev 7:9  14).

The "appointed times" of Daniel 12:4-13 for the "time of the end" have already taken place.  (See Pages 837,  838 839840841 843844845  and  24/12/87  of  The Opened "Little Scroll").
