"MANY WILL CLEANSE THEMSELVES AND WHITEN THEMSELVES AND WILL BE REFINED. AND THE WICKED ONES WILL CERTAINLY ACT WICKEDLY, AND NO WICKED ONES AT ALL WILL UNDERSTAND; BUT THE ONES HAVING INSIGHT WILL UNDERSTAND." (Daniel 12:10).

The reason why wicked ones, and especially those acting wickedly against the holy covenant, will not understand the true meanings and fulfilment of the prophecy given through Daniel, is that:

(1)	They will not accept denunciations from God for the correction of their spirits, and so they console themselves with false reasoning.
(2)	They are therefore not given insight into the literal and spiritual fulfilment of Daniel's prophecy as to times, locations, and peoples.

DANIEL 11:30-35: The "ships of Kit'tim" symbolize the seafaring Anglo-American powers of the West, whose powerful opposition thwarted satan's plan of worldwide dictatorship to forestall the ingathering of Jehovah's Kingdom heirs in many parts of the earth. "And (satan) will actually go back (at a future time) to hurl denunciations (prophesy vengeance) against the holy covenant and act effectively". But for satan to "give consideration to those leaving the holy covenant", he must have won over some that had been called to be anointed ones but not chosen due to their apostasy. (Matt 22:14 RSV. 1 Cor 7:17-24).

As for sectarian religions such as the Roman Catholics, they were never under a covenant agreement with God. The method satan has used to deceive those "acting wickedly against the covenant" is "by means of smooth words". (See Page 840: "Arms"). Such ones have attempted to join faithful anointed ones "by means of smoothness" (flattery). (11:34,35).

The "constant feature" that is removed are anointed sons of God with His Holy Spirit. These sons are members of spiritual "Israel" and through His anointing of them carry a portion of His Spirit. They are His "sanctuary" class on earth in whom He dwells. Offerings made to God through them, by the people, are acceptable to God only if they are obedient to His spiritual instructions and teachings. These are the "tenth parts" made known to faithful anointed sons of God. (Mal 3:10). Those remaining on earth of the total number of 144,000 are His underpriests. (See 1 Peter 2:9. Eph 2:22. 1 John 2:27).

The "disgusting thing that is causing desolation" (NWT) and an "appalling abomination erected" (Moffatt) is the appointment of unsealed men in Christ's congregations, men who are not anointed with the Spirit of God, but who act in their place as priests of God for members of JW congregations. (Rev 3:9). Usurpation of anointed ones by those without Holy Spirit causes desolation in all respects.

The removal of the "constant feature" Holy Spirit by members of the "disgusting thing"* excommunicating anointed sons of God from JW congregations, will cause their* desolation and bring them and satan their father to a complete end. (Dan 11:45). Despite their* apostate teachings, faithful ones continued to obey their God after they were "made to stumble" out from JW apostates. But in this spiritual "wilderness" we prevail and act effectively in our service to God, for through God-given "insight" we are refining out false teachings of JW apostates and their followers; doing a "cleansing" and "whitening" work until the "time of the end". (11:34,35. See Rev 12:14).

(11:36): This "king" is satan, who magnifies himself above God Himself by speaking "marvelous things" among mankind and promoting his system of rulership. He even hurls denunciations against the holy covenant of God for a heavenly Kingdom of anointed brothers of The Christ and their future 1,000 year Rule. (Rev 5:9,10) (Rev 20:4). The "thing decided upon" is the spiritual refining of people of God, who with faithful anointed ones conquer satan's vengeful denunciations by their faithfulness. We worship Jehovah as King in our hearts through our knowledge of Him and the manifestation of His Christ.
