DANIEL 11:39-45:  The scriptural significance of Edom, Moab, Ammon, Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia, is what these places and people represent. In the past the inhabitants of these lands have opposed the Will of God and His purpose in connection with the inhabitants of literal and spiritual "Israel". In the spiritual fulfilment they represent types of people in opposition to God (within realms of the "king of the North") and residing throughout the earth as satan's subjects. But what are the reports among the ranks of his people from the east and the north that alarm satan? These are reports of the existence of anointed Kingdom heirs    despite satan's work through the "foreign god" of "Ahab" 'elders' to enter the spiritual "land" of Decoration to find and oust them. Their faithfulness and obedience to the commandments of God causes satan's rage, and he devotes many to destruction in his attempts to find them. This is similar to the case of King Herod, who to find the "seed" of the Kingdom of God, Jesus, had all sons two years of age and under killed. (Matt 2:16). In like manner, in an attempt to delay his own abyssing and torment, satan is trying to stop the last remaining anointed sons of God being gathered and sealed.

Jehovah will cause confusion within satan's own ranks. In desperation, satan's "Ahab" 'elders' will have by this time planted their authority ("palatial tents") between the "sea" (mankind) and the "holy mountain of Decoration" (anointed ones) to cut these holy ones off from further Spirit activity in their Kingdom work, bringing forth the wrath of God in the time appointed for satan's end. Then "Ahab" 'elders' will turn on each other in the vain hope that they may find hiding among them anointed sons of God, thus causing their own destruction. But by this time, true and faithful anointed Kingdom heirs, along with faithful "other sheep", will  have escaped from satan's congregations of "Babylon" and will be completely free of "her". Now we are as though hiding in  "caves".  (1 Kings 18:3,4)  (Rev 18:4).

Jehovah's work is unusual, and cuts off the escape of treacherous ones. (Isaiah 28:21,22. Prov 2:21,22). The true "Way" is known only to those given insight by God. That is why wicked ones do not understand, and The Christ's coming will be to them "like a thief". (Dan 12:10. Isaiah 35:8-10). Subjects of satan are made to feel more secure because he makes "abound with glory" all those that have "given him recognition".  (Dan 11:39).  But while the wicked eagerly await the fulfilment of Daniel's prophecy, it is already taking place!

"Therefore prophesy, O son of man, and you must say to Gog, 'This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: "Will it not be in that day when My people Israel are dwelling in security that you will know [it]? ...And you will be bound to come up against My people Israel, like clouds to cover the land. In the final part of the days it will occur, and I shall certainly bring you against My land, for the purpose that the nations may know Me when I sanctify Myself in you before their eyes, O Gog"' "'And it must occur in that day, in the day when Gog comes in upon the soil of Israel,' is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, 'that My rage will come up into My nose. And in My ardour, in the fire of My fury, I shall have to speak. Surely in that day a great quaking will occur in the soil of Israel.'" "'And I will call forth against him throughout all My mountainous region  (the spiritual "land" of God)  a sword,' is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah. 'Against his own brother the sword of each one will come to be  (against "Ahab" 'elders' in the "land").  And  I will bring Myself into Judgement with him, with pestilence and with blood; and a flooding downpour and hailstones  (See Pages 777 to 845),  fire and sulphur I shall rain down upon him and upon his bands and upon the many peoples that will be with him.'" "'This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: "Here I am against you, O Gog, you head chieftain of Me'shech and Tu'bal. And I will turn you around and lead you on and cause you to come up from the remotest parts of the north and bring you in upon the mountains of Israel. And I will strike your bow out of your left hand, and your arrows I will cause to fall out of your right hand. On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your bands and the peoples that will be with you.'""  (From Ezekiel 38:14 to 39:4).
