WHO ARE THE ABANDONED ONES?

To reveal who Almighty God has abandoned, we must refer to His Holy written Word, to the judicial precedents He gave through His prophets and disciples. To begin, I quote the words of the Firstborn Son of God regarding a certain class of people who call the Son of God their Lord: "Not everyone who calls me "Lord, Lord" will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who do the Will of my Heavenly Father."  (Matt 7:21 NEB).

Importantly, we need to know what the Will of our Heavenly Father consists of, that we may come to know who is, and who is not, carrying out His Will. Those who have not carried out our Heavenly Father's Will are the abandoned ones. They are abandoned in relation to the fulfilment of the very purpose of life. They are abandoned for rejecting the spiritual Way of The Christ and the Kingdom of God, thereby abandoning their opportunity to be blessed with incorruptible everlasting life in the spirit heavens. The alternative, according to His Word, is the destruction of their flesh, followed by each abandoned spirit learning the truth "through torments after death". (2 Esdras 9:9-12 NEB). According to these scriptures, abandoned ones are prohibited from entering the everlasting Kingdom of God     a heavenly Kingdom where righteousness dwells, and which unifies servants of God who lived on earth with the Lord in heaven.  (Eph 1:9,10 NEB).

Carrying out the Will of God is dependent on the exercise of one's faith in the "good news" of God through The Christ. This "good news" of salvation operates through the acceptance of The Christ's spiritual work of subjecting one's spirit to God. (1 Cor 15:25-28.  2 Tim 1:10).  It is evident in those obedient to the "good news" of our Lord, as they have made a baptismal vow to God and are walking in a "newness of life", offering prayers and making spirit sacrifices to God. (Rom 6:4-7). They worship the Father wholesouled in spirit and truth.  (John 4:23,24).

Sadly, the great majority likes to be known as Christians but do not carry out the expressed Will of God. Though calling him "Lord" they do not obey the "good news" and are abandoned by virtue of having lived solely according to their will.  (2 Thess 1:6-10).

By inspiration from God the apostle Paul wrote to his anointed brothers: "Do you not know that you people are God's temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him;  for the temple of God is holy, which temple you people are." (1 Cor 3:16,17).  In their attempts to destroy this "temple" of God, sham Christians worked wilfully to "trample" upon and abandon faithful anointed members of the "temple", while at the same time calling him "Lord" ! (Dan 8:13,14). But those responsible are abandoned by God. (Rev 11:1-3.  2 Thess 2:3-8).  Anointed members of the "temple" of God belong to the Spirit "body" of The Christ. In fact, in total they number 144,000, gathered throughout the generations since The Christ was on earth.  (Eph 4:11-13.  Rev 7:4).

So what will be a signal of The Christ's Second Coming at the end of the age?  "Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned; two women will be grinding at the hand mill: one will be taken along and the other be abandoned. Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming."  (Matt 24:40-42).
