THE LORD, THE ETERNAL, ISRAEL'S MAJESTY, DECLARES:
"YOUR SAFETY LIES IN
CEASING TO MAKE LEAGUES,
YOUR STRENGTH IS QUIET FAITH. BUT THIS YOU WOULD
NOT HAVE, YOU ANSWERED, NO". (Isaiah 30:15,16 Moffatt).
Accordingly, "upon that Day of doom and
slaughter, when the foe's forts are falling" will also be the Day
"when the Eternal heals His bruised folk". (Isaiah 30:25,26 Moffatt).
How unusual! Slaughtering and healing on the same Day! The Eternal
describes this work of extermination as "unusual". (28:21,22).
Those who refuse to live in quiet faith and prefer to make leagues with the
nations, are those of whom God warns: "A thousand will tremble on account
of the rebuke of one; on account of the rebuke of five you will flee until you
will have remained over like a mast on the top of a mountain and like a signal
on a hill." (30:17). All sectarian religions make leagues with
"Sodom and Egypt" for protection, but it will bring them nothing but
"disappointment and disgrace." (30:1-5 NEB).
For all sectarian religions of the nations are demonically controlled. (2 Peter
2:1-3).
THIS REBUKE FROM JEHOVAH I WROTE DOWN IN THE
"LITTLE SCROLL" "TO SERVE IN AFTER DAYS". (Rev 10:8,9).
"Now, go in and write this
down, inscribe it on a scroll, to serve in after days as a witness for
all time." (30:8 Moffatt).
Why? Because of their faithless rebellion, refusing "visions from their
seers and true words from their prophets, who would have only smooth things told
them, only illusions prophesied. 'Out of our way,' they cry, 'clear out from
us, and trouble us no more with talk of Israel's Majesty!'"
Here is the Eternal's reply: "…this guilt of yours shall split you, like a
high wall bulging to break, till swiftly, suddenly, down it crashes
as
a man smashes a pitcher in pieces".
(30:8-14 Moffatt). ("O'phel and the watchtower": 32:14). (O'phel:
Swelling, eminence*).
To you "who have said to the ones seeing, 'You must not see,' and to the
ones having visions, 'You must not envision for us any straightforward
things. Speak to us smooth things; envision deceptive things. Turn aside from
the way; deviate from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease just on
account of us', for you this error will become like a broken section about
to fall down, a swelling* out
in a highly raised wall, the breakdown of which may come suddenly, in an
instant." (From 30:9-13).
Given that this "wall" is a "highly raised one" with
a commanding position over the people, what causes it to swell and finally
break? Their error. This "wall" "crashes
as a man smashes a pitcher in pieces",
so that nothing useable remains. (30:13 Moffatt).
The Watchtower
of the sect falsely calling themselves Jehovah's
Witnesses is one such example, destined to become "bare fields, for
time indefinite the exultation of zebras". (32:14). Watchtowers are
used to keep land under observation, to have advanced knowledge concerning
people within its vicinity. But the "highly raised wall" of
The Watchtower will crash in an instant and become the exultation
of zebras. Its humiliating downfall is the reward for their unfaithfulness to
God, and signifies the removal of apostates sheltering under the protection of
"Sodom and Egypt" (the nations) rather than exercising quiet faith
in Israel's Majesty, Almighty God. (Rev 11:8. Isaiah 30:1-5).
True servants of God clear out from apostates
and trouble them no more with talk of Israel's Majesty for the "seed" of God is not among them. The fraudulent eminence*
of apostates will crash. We keep in expectation of Jehovah and the outpouring of
His Spirit upon us. For then, "the wilderness will have become an orchard"
and the spiritual "seed" of God sown alongside His "waters"
"will certainly take root downward and produce fruitage upward."
"The very zeal of Jehovah of armies" will provide escapees for
spiritual Mount Zion. (32:14 20 & 37:30 32). For we are approaching the
City of the Living God. (Heb 12:22 24).
