AFTER THE CALAMITY,  PURE SPEECH WILL FOLLOW.

Jehovah is about to pour out His indignation upon nations gathered against Him. Those who survive shall speak with a "pure speech" just as it is written: "...they shall do no wrong and utter no lies, nor shall there be found in their mouth a deceitful tongue."  The implication is that previously there were some among them that had a deceitful tongue and spoke lies.  (From Zeph 3:8-13 RSV).

"NATIONS WILL WORSHIP HIM, EVERY
MAN IN HIS OWN HOME."  (Zeph 2:11 NEB
).
While it is unlikely that the promised "pure speech" among the survivors will follow immediately after the outpouring of the righteous indignation of God, accurate knowledge of the Will of God will be made known at the "festival of the booths" within each nation. (Zech 14:16-19). With this Spirit knowledge, families will learn how to worship Jehovah with "pure speech", "every man in his own home."  Jehovah says, "I shall certainly let remain in the  midst of you a people humble and lowly". "Proud and arrogant" ones will be removed by  God.  (Zeph 3:11,12 NWT & NEB).

NATIONS THAT JEHOVAH WILL STAND UP TO ACCUSE.
"Because of the oil"
, the burden of the tyrannical "yoke" upon people of God shall be removed, upsetting the demonic activities of the political "wild beast" ruling the nations in opposition to the expressed Will of God.  (Isaiah 10:27.  Rev 19:19,20). "Wait for Me, therefore, says the LORD, wait for the day when I stand up to accuse you; for mine it is to gather nations and assemble kingdoms, to pour out on them My indignation, all  the heat of My anger; the whole earth shall be consumed by the fire of My jealousy." (Zeph 3:8 NEB).  Moab and Ammon (Jordan), Cushites (Ethiopians), Assyria (Iraq), Nineveh (northern Iraq), and Ashkelon and Gaza (coastlands of southern Israel) shall all be desolated. (2:4-13 NEB). Among the nations being gathered for the Day of The Lord's anger are those described in 2 Esdras: "Alas for you, Babylon and Asia! Alas for you, Egypt and Syria! Put on sackcloth and hair-shirt, and raise a howl of lamentation for your sons; your doom is close at hand." (16:1,2 NEB). In chapters 15 and 16 of the prophecy of Ezra are described the events of the Day of The Lord's anger.

JEHOVAH IS ABOUT TO "BRANDISH HIS WHIP" AGAINST THE "ASSYRIAN".
Tyrant leaders of Iraq have recently made public the prime targets of their attack forces: Israel and enemy oil fields. Tyrants of the "Assyrian" are a weighty part of Israel's "yoke". But to His people Jehovah has prophesied:  "My people who live in Zion, you must not be afraid of the Assyrians, though they beat you with their rod and lift their staff against you as the Egyptians did; for soon, very soon, My anger will come to an end, and My wrath will all be spent. Then the LORD of Hosts will brandish His whip over them as He did when He struck Midian at the Rock of Oreb, and will lift His staff against the River as He did against Egypt."  (Isaiah 10:24-26 NEB).

To facilitate the ransoming of beloved people of God being rescued from among nations of the "Assyrian", Jehovah will "bring a scorching wind" to "dry up the tongue of Egypt's sea" (the Nile) and will "wave His hand over the River" (the Euphrates)     to the extent that people will be able to cross dry-shod.  (Isaiah 11:15 Moffatt & NEB).
