DROUGHT, FAMINE AND "PLAGUE"
IN ETHIOPIA AND EGYPT.

THE RANSOM.
"For your ransom I give Egypt, Nubia and Seba are your price"
(for spiritual sons of God). This is the word of "your Creator, O Jacob, of Him who fashioned you, Israel". (Isaiah 43:1,3 NEB). "O Jacob" are spiritually exalted sons of God, people created for the new "Jacob" age of righteous spirit governance, suffering no longer under the "Esau" age of evil spirit dominance. When Jehovah refers to "Israel", He means the whole of His Spirit created nation.  (See 2 Esdras 6:7-10 & Page 10/2/84). To nations that have been holding back His  sons  by the evil spirit dominance of their Godless systems, Jehovah now says: "Give them up". (Isaiah 43:5 NEB). "The Lord will strike down all the nations who warred against (heavenly) Jerusalem, and their plague shall be this: their flesh shall rot while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths." (Zech 14:12 NEB). This is already happening in Ethiopia     to millions.

"THE WEALTH OF THE SURROUNDING NATIONS WILL BE
  SWEPT AWAY
GOLD AND SILVER".  (From Zech 14:13,14 NEB).
Drought and famine relief programmes are being "swept away" by the increasing frequency and magnitude of disasters by the Will of Almighty God. Nations giving support to nations such as Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia and Egypt are warring against the spirit creation of heavenly "Jerusalem" by promoting the indigenous idol worship of those nations to whom they give aid.

AN "ALTAR" IN EGYPT:
A TOKEN AND REMINDER TO THE LORD.  (Isaiah 19:19,20 NEB).
The drying up of the Nile by Almighty God, with its disastrous consequences, will be an enduring reminder to Egyptians and other nations who had been worshipping idols, for they will know that God Himself had struck them. They will be "as weak as women" and as slaves to heavenly "Jerusalem" after losing their battle against the Spirit of the Lord's Judgement. (45:14 & 19:16 NEB). Only by ridding themselves of idol worship and being spiritually cleansed by accurate knowledge of the Word of God will they be able to appeal to the Lord against their oppressors. For then they will be able to offer up to God their clean spirit gifts of praise.  (Ref:  Isaiah Ch.19, Ch.43, Ch.45, and Zech Ch.14).

"…the lotus too beside the Nile and all that is sown along the Nile shall dry up, shall be blown away and vanish. The fishermen shall groan and lament, all who cast their hooks into the Nile and those who spread nets on the water shall lose heart. The flax-dressers shall hang their heads, the women carding and the weavers shall grow pale, Egypt's spinners shall be downcast, and all her artisans sick at heart. Fools that you are, you princes of Zoan! Wisest of Pharaoh's counsellors you may be, but stupid counsellors you are… Where are your wise men, Pharaoh, to teach you and make known to you what the Lord of Hosts has planned for Egypt?… the chieftains of her clans have led Egypt astray. The Lord has infused into them a spirit that warps their judgement; they make Egypt miss her way in all she does, as a drunkard will miss his footing as he vomits. There shall be nothing in Egypt that any man can do, head or tail, palm or rush. When that day comes the Egyptians shall become weak as women; they shall fear and tremble when they see the Lord of Hosts raise His hand against them, as raise it He will. The land of Judah shall strike terror into Egypt; its very name shall cause dismay, because of the plans that the Lord of Hosts has laid against them. When that day comes there shall be five cities in Egypt speaking the language of Canaan and swearing allegiance to the Lord of Hosts, and one of them shall be called the City of the Sun. When that day comes there shall be an altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt, and a sacred pillar set up for the Lord upon her frontier. It shall stand as a token and a reminder to the Lord of Hosts in Egypt, so that when they appeal to Him against their oppressors, He may send a deliverer to champion their cause, and He shall rescue them. The Lord will make Himself known to the Egyptians; on that day they shall acknowledge the Lord and do Him service with sacrifice and grain-offering, make vows to Him and pay them. The Lord will strike down Egypt, healing as He strikes; then they will turn back to Him and He will hear their prayers and heal them."  (From Isaiah 19:7-22 NEB).
