TOO MANY LEAKY BUCKETS.  (14/8/05).
' Whenever aid and redistribution are discussed, it is useful to recall the analogy of a leaking bucket, suggested by Arthur Okun.*  When transfers are made, it is like transferring water in a leaky bucket. Some of the water leaks out (it disappears along the way), but some makes it to the other end and is used for the purpose that was intended. Whether the process is worthwhile depends on how fast the water leaks and how urgently the water is needed at the other end. And in the meantime, we should be looking for buckets with fewer holes.'  ('Economics' by David Begg).

ON ADULTERY AND REMARRIAGE.  (3/9/02).
True Christians do not remarry while their former spouse is still living. They do not obey the sham-priests, solicitors or judges of this secular world who disobey the instructions from The Christ concerning marriage and divorce as stated through his apostle to the nations.

BEING BROUGHT FROM UNDER THE "YOKE" OF "BABYLON".  (3/9/02).
'It's the smell of oil and the colour of money that corrodes our principles", said a senator of the U.S. coddling of Iraq.  And it's not just Iraq.'  (Arts & Letters Daily).

"And it must occur in that day that his load will depart from upon your shoulder, and his yoke from upon your neck, and the yoke will certainly be wrecked because of the oil."  (Isaiah 10:27).

BRINGING TO MEMORY CONTRASTING IDEALS.  (2006).
Very few who claim to be Christians have commemorated the true meaning of the Lord's evening meal as instructed. (1 Cor 11:23-32). They did not bring to annual remembrance the important reasons for The Christ's life on earth and the meaning of his death. Fewer still are those who have attended this meal and acknowledged that it was also intended to reveal how they treated the remaining members of The Christ's "body" of 144,000 anointed ones during the previous year. Those who mistreated them and attended this meal were corrected sometime after     falling into the hands of God for discipline or Judgement.  Discipline with a view to the eventual inheritance of immortality, or condemnation with the world for evil apostate activities against faithful anointed sons of God.  (1 Cor 11:29-34).

By complete contrast, millions of people from around the world annually gather to commemorate something completely different: The deaths of the members of the armed forces that killed 37 million civilians during World War II. This war exposed the hatred and total lack of unity between countries, which benefited no one, and out of which not one soul could be saved for future life.

How disgusting too are those men wearing the white collars of populist religion acting as military chaplains (padres) who blessed the uniformed killers of both warring sides before they went into action !

And while the survivors of the armed forces honour their dead at cenotaphs, destitute souls struggling to survive are sleeping in shop doorways completely ignored.

CORRECTING ERRONEOUS BELIEFS REGARDING RESURRECTION.
Most Bible scholars have translated Isaiah 26:19 in their translations incorrectly. The correct wording is in the Moffatt translation as follows:

COMMENT:

THE HOLY PRINCIPLE REGARDING LAWS FROM A PROPHET OF GOD.
"For any man at all from the house of Israel or from the alien residents that reside as aliens in Israel, that withdraws himself from following Me and that brings up his dungy idols upon his heart and that sets the very stumbling block causing his error in front of his face and that actually comes to the prophet to make enquiry for himself by Me, I, Jehovah, I am letting Myself be brought to answer him by Myself. And I must set My face against that man and place him for a sign and for proverbial sayings, and I must cut him off from the midst of My people; and you people will have to know that I am Jehovah."  (Ezek 14:7,8 NWT).

A man who has it revealed to him that he has withdrawn from God by worshipping other men as gods (dungy idols), and who makes enquiry of a prophet of God while he has such a "stumbling block", will be answered by Almighty God Himself. God will make an example of him by cutting him off from His people such that he becomes a cautionary tale of what happens to those who worship false gods.  (Exodus 20:1-3).
