THE PROPHESIED RESTORATION OF THE JEWS,
THEIR  HOMELAND  AND  UNITY  WITH  GOD.

THE PROPHECY OF PETER IN ACTS 3:21 WILL SOON BE FULFILLED.
In this regard, the questions we should now consider are:
(1) What "things" for "restoration" was the apostle Peter referring to in Acts 3:21?
(2) Who are destined to be part of the "new heavens and a new earth"?  (2 Peter 3:13).

In his past fleshly form and righteous deeds, Jesus Christ the Son of God is still not generally accepted as the Messiah by the vast majority of Jews. In fact, they are still waiting for him! They do not know this founder member of the "new covenant" at all, nor have they repented of their sins through his ransom sacrifice. Consequently, they have not had their sins forgiven or "blotted out". (Acts 3:19-26).  They have "stumbled" over The Christ.  (Rom 11:7-12). Although the Jews were once chosen to be the holy nation of God on earth, without The Christ they are without God. This is for the reason that The Christ is held from them in heaven until the "times of (their) restoration" begin, when Jehovah pours out His Spirit upon His beloved people of the whole "house of Israel" (Ezek 39:28,29).

"TIMES OF RESTORATION" FOR THE JEWS.
Jews returning from exile to Israel their homeland will be an indication that Jehovah is preparing to fulfil His promise to restore a remnant of them. "They will know that I am the Lord their God, because I who sent them into exile among the nations will bring them together again on the soil of their own land and leave none of them behind."  (39:28 NEB).

When He has destroyed Gog's crowd for their attack upon "open villages" (settlements) on the mountains of Israel, Jehovah says: "No longer will I hide My face from them, I who have poured out My Spirit upon Israel". (39:29 NEB).  He will pour out upon the Jews a Spirit of "favour and entreaties, and they will look to the one whom they pierced through (The Christ), and they will certainly wail over him as in the wailing over an only son".*  (Zech 12:10).

Only when they have repented of their sins and been forgiven by Jehovah through the ransom sacrifice of His son* our Lord Jesus Christ will they "...forget their shame and all their unfaithfulness to Me, when they are at home again on their own soil, undisturbed, with no one to alarm them. When I bring them home out of the nations and gather them from the lands of their enemies, I will make them an example of My holiness, for many nations to see."  (39:25-27 NEB).

"THEY WILL HAVE BORNE THEIR HUMILIATION".  (39:26).
For generations, Jehovah has allowed the Jews to be scattered among enemy nations because of their transgressions. They were regarded as a people without a country, and looked upon as second-class citizens in the world.  In fact, six million of them were gathered by the Nazis during the 1939-45 World War and put to death.

A RESTORED REMNANT OF JEWS WILL BE TAUGHT
THE WILL OF GOD THROUGH HIS SON THE CHRIST.
"For there is a deep truth here, my brothers, of which I want you to take account, so that you may not be complacent about your own discernment: this partial blindness has come upon Israel only until the Gentiles have been admitted in full strength; when that has happened, the whole of Israel will be saved, in agreement with the text of Scripture: 'From Zion shall come the Deliverer; he shall remove wickedness from Jacob.  And  this is the covenant I will grant them, when I take away their sins.'"
 (Rom 11:25  27 NEB).
