IT IS AN OFFENCE AGAINST GOD TO INGEST OR
TO TRANSFUSE BLOOD INTO HUMAN BODIES.
THE PENALTY.
"For the soul of
the flesh is in the blood... "No soul of you must eat blood and no alien
resident who is residing as an alien in your midst should eat blood." For the
soul of every sort of flesh is its blood by the soul in it. Consequently I said
to the sons of Israel: "You must not eat the blood of any sort of flesh,
because the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood.
Anyone eating it will
be cut off." (From
Lev 17:11-14).
THE ADMONITION FROM THE APOSTLES.
"For the Holy
Spirit and we ourselves have favoured adding no further burden to you, except
these necessary things, to keep abstaining from… blood and from things
strangled and from fornication. If you carefully keep yourselves from these
things, you will prosper…"
(From Acts 15:28,29).
FREEDOM FROM THE PERSONAL BLOODGUILT OF
OTHERS.
"Hence I call you
to witness this very day that I am clean from the blood of all men, for I
have not held back from telling you all the counsel of God"
(including that of
blood). (Acts 20:26,27). "Hence my decision is not to trouble those from
the nations who are turning to God, but to write them to
abstain... from blood".
(From Acts 15:19,20).
FOR THE ATONEMENT OF OUR SINS.
"The soul of the
flesh is in the blood, and I Myself have put it upon the altar for you to make
atonement for your souls, because it is the blood that makes
atonement by the
soul in it".
(Lev 17:11). That is why Christ Jesus became a sacrifice for our sins. (1 John 4:9,10).
VIOLATION OF THE LAW OF GOD TO PRESERVE
HUMAN LIFE LEADS TO LOSS OF ETERNAL LIFE.
When a transfusion of
blood takes place from one human into another, both souls are cut off from God,
for the reason stated by Him: "...because the soul of every sort of flesh
is its blood. Anyone eating it will be cut off." (Lev 17:14).
Whether human blood is ingested
through the mouth or transfused into a vein, in some form it reaches the blood
stream and is in this way consumed or "eaten". (Lev 17:14).
Transmission of diseases such as
A.I.D.S., syphilis, malaria and hepatitis through the transfusion of infected
blood from others has proven to be a devastating way of ruining lives.
Transplantation of organs from one person to another has proven to be another
way such diseases are transmitted.
There are of course alternatives to
blood, such as the plasma expander, Saline. When one considers that blood taken
orally from animals or intravenously from humans is in violation of the Law of
God, the mortality rate among recipients is 100% !
