A FURTHER EXPLANATION OF DANIEL'S PROPHECIES. (11:45 to 12:3 NEB and 10:20 to 11:2A Moffatt). There is an elapse of time between the events that fulfil the prophecy given to Daniel in chapters 11:45 to 12:1A which reads, "He (satan) will pitch his royal pavilion between the sea and the holy hill, the fairest of all hills; and he will meet his end with no one to help him. At that moment Michael shall appear, Michael the great captain, who stands guard over your fellow-countrymen" and 12:2 which reads, "...many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake, some to everlasting life and some to the reproach of eternal abhorrence." (NEB).
With reference to "...many of
those who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake, some to everlasting life",
they are faithful anointed sons of God
In 1991, after Iraqi armed forces
fired Scud missiles on the Jewish nation in the land of Israel, the U.S.
deployed Patriot interceptor missile batteries between the Mediterranean
"sea" and Mount Zion the "holy hill". (11:45 NEB).
Billeted in tents, U.S. military forces were planted on Israeli soil, as it is
written: "And he will plant his palatial tents between the grand sea and
the holy mountain of Decoration". (11:45 NWT).
The political "wild beast" of the United States then became the
warring authority of satan in Israel. (Rev 13:2 The authority over Iraq/Iran is the demon "guardian angel of the realm of Persia". In the time of the prophet Daniel, this demon angel resisted an angel of God for twenty-one days in an attempt to prevent prophecies of God relating to these last days being recorded by Daniel. (Dan 10:13 Moffatt). The Archangel Michael, guardian of Daniel's people, came to the defence of the angel so that prophecies of God relating to future sons of "Jacob" could be given and recorded. (10:20 to 11:2A Moffatt).
