"DRIVING [OTHERS] TO WORK" IS
TO
ENSLAVE THEM WITH WORK.
(Isaiah 14:4-17).
Jehovah describes those enslaving others by
driving them to work as wicked ones. (14:5). Can anyone say that
"The whole earth has come to rest, has become free of disturbance"? Or
that, "People have become cheerful with joyful cries"? (14:7).
Obviously not. We therefore await the fulfilment of these happy events.
We know that "goatlike leaders of the earth" and "kings of
the nations" are being "made weak" and will be made
impotent through death their
power and number being reduced to nothing. (14:9,10).
WORLDWIDE RECESSION FROM
"GOATLIKE" WEAKNESS?
At last the brightness of the
"shining one" and his satanic designs are being reduced to nothing, as
are his "goatlike leaders". (14:12). The one
"striking peoples in fury with a stroke incessantly, the one subduing nations in
sheer anger with a persecution without restraint" is being forced to
withdraw! (14:6). Economists are finding it increasingly difficult to
explain the turmoil in world markets and the confusion and lack of foresight in
banking and world trade. The Christ's approach, preparatory to his arrival, is
the cause! His coming is gradual, "as a thief", until the time
when mankind shall "see" the Son of man "coming on the
clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (1 Thess 5:2. Matt 24:30
& 43).
MANKIND'S AWARENESS OF THEIR
REAL NEEDS AMIDST WORLD RECESSION.
Forced to depend on State handouts,
many unemployed men and women feel resentment at having 'lined the
pockets' of "goatlike leaders" with riches. Those
still employed in Godless occupations continue to work despite their enslavement
that they may afford their worldly appetites.
(1 John 2:15-17 NEB). But among
the younger generation there is a growing sense of injustice at the unfair
distribution of wealth, which has led some to demonstrate,
gathering together for the war against God.
(Rev 16:13,14). But among those who are God fearing there is a growing
awareness of the spiritual need of mankind and the urgency for them to turn to God. Because of the decline of power among political "goatlike leaders"
of the "image" of the "wild beast"
and sectarian leaders of
"Babylon", people are beginning to see through their destructive works that
they are merely for self glory. At the death of each "goatlike leader"
it can be said: "Those seeing you will gaze even at you; they will
give close examination even to you, [saying,] 'Is
this the man that was agitating the earth"? (From 14:16,17).
ANARCHY PROVES SATAN A LIAR.
Demonstrations
are a manifestation of the weakness of the State, which, left unchecked, leads to
insurrection and anarchy. But while the State professes to be a fair distributor
of a nation's wealth, providing barely enough money for the unemployed to live
on, we can anticipate what the unemployed would do if they were refused
financial support. And more especially so, when they come to realize,
"Jehovah
has broken the rod of the wicked ones, the staff of the ruling ones". (14:5).
