WE  "GOT  TO  KNOW"  WHEN GOD HAD CONCLUDED THE GATHERING OF
THE 144,000 COVENANT MEMBERS OF HIS "LITTLE FLOCK" AND MEMBERS
OF THE "GREAT CROWD" WORLDWIDE.  (Zech 11:11. John 10:16. Rev7:9 & 14).

In September 1982 the massacre of 800 Palestinians civilians was carried out by Lebanese Phalangist forces in Beirut. Their way in was facilitated by the Israeli army (who claim to be of David's house). These killers opened up "your doors, O Lebanon". (Zech 11:1). This is just one example of "majestic ones" (leaders) of Lebanon being "despoiled". (11:2). Of these forces it says, "they will certainly crush to pieces the land, and I shall do no delivering out of their hand." (11:6). There have been many battles between military factions in Lebanon (crushing to pieces the land, with "every man in the power of his neighbour". 11:6 NEB).  And "shepherds" of the people have been effaced (eliminated).  (11:1-17 NWT & NEB).

"I took my staff called Favour and snapped it in two, annulling the covenant which the Lord had made with all nations". (11:10 NEB). By the foregoing events, afflicted ones "got to know" that God's favour through the "good news" of faith in Christ, and the ingathering of all the holy ones, had indeed come to a finish on earth. (11:11.  Rev 10:7). God's covenant of Favour and Union, the provision of His spiritual directives to unite peoples through faith, was broken long after the death of Jesus Christ. Evidence of this is in His prophetic words: "For I shall show compassion no more upon the inhabitants of the land... So here I am causing mankind to find themselves", "every man in the power of his neighbour." (Zech 11:6 NWT & NEB). Was  not the "new covenant" by His Christ the showing of compassion?  Yes, of course it was.  So, "compassion no more" was after the "new covenant" by His Christ had been successfully concluded (Heb 12:22 24).

Immediately after the massacres in Lebanon, demonstrations took place in the streets of Judah; the unity of "brotherhood" between Judah and Israel was certainly broken. (11:14). Consequently, the following words of God now apply: "Strike the shepherd, and let those of the flock be scattered; and I shall certainly turn My hand back upon those who are insignificant." (13:7). However, the significance of the faith of these "least" ones was established when the Prince of the host (The Christ Michael) witnessed his "sanctuary" class (Spirit  anointed brothers of Christ) being "thrown down", "trampled" on and removed by the "disgusting thing" "standing in a holy place".  (Dan 8:11-14.  11:31.  Matt 24:15).

We can now understand the Word of Jehovah in Zechariah 13:8,9: "And it must occur in all the land," is the utterance of Jehovah, "that two parts in it are what will be cut off and expire; and as for the third part, it will be left remaining in it. And I shall certainly bring the third part through the fire; and I shall actually refine them as in the refining of silver, and examine them as in the examining of gold. It, for its part, will call upon My Name, and I, for My part, will answer it. I will say, 'It is My people,' and it, in its turn, will say, 'Jehovah is my God.'" Striking Spirit anointed shepherds of The Christ has brought about the refining of this "third part". Those who are insignificant "least" ones have been gathered by being refined out from the dross that is the "disgusting thing" "standing in a holy place". Among those that will be cut off and expire are "Ahab" men, "Jezebel" women, and their subjects;  many of whom have the satanic mark 666.  A figurative "well" is to be opened for natural Jews, for sin and abhorrence.  (13:1).

THE "WELL" FOR "SIN AND FOR AN ABHORRENT THING."  (Zech 13:1).
We all inherited Adamic sin, but an abhorrent thing we did not. An example of an abhorrent thing is a deliberate act of idolatry after accurately knowing the requirements of God. From the standpoint of God, when one claims to be a god it is by the spirit of uncleanness. (2 Thess 2:3 12). Remember Elijah mocking the prophets of ba'al? "Call at the top of your voice, for he is a god; for he must be concerned with a matter, and he has excrement and has to go to  the privy." (1 Kings 18:27,28). Elijah was showing the people that the god of these baalists was really themselves     hence the meaning of "dungy idols". They were even "cutting themselves" in wilful stubbornness in their attempts to persuade the people to put faith in their spiritistic beliefs.

To discern and explain the Word of God correctly is not the foretelling of future events or acting as a false prophet with the spirit of uncleanness. It is the giving of glory to God. The "well" represents the cleansing properties of the spiritual "waters" of God's Word, cutting off "the names of the idols out of the land" and "the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness".  (13:2).
