"AFTERWARDS THE SONS OF ISRAEL WILL COME… QUIVERING
   TO JEHOVAH… IN THE FINAL PART OF THE DAYS".   (Hosea 3:5).

"Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Discreet, that he may know them? For the ways of Jehovah are upright, and the righteous are the ones who will walk in them;  but the transgressors are the ones who will stumble in them."  (Hosea 14:9).

"And it must occur that in the place in which it used to be said to them, 'You men are not My people,' it will be said to them, 'The sons of the Living God.'"  (1:10).

These faithful sons of "Judah" and of "Israel" "will certainly be collected together into a unity", with "one head", and will "go up out of the land, because great will be the day of Jez're.el."  (1:11).  (Jez're.el:  God will sow seed*).

"IN THE PLACE"?  WHERE?
"The place" is the "wilderness" condition into which anointed sons of "Judah" were ostracized, to be spiritually cleansed and become "sons of the Living God." But as for those who were also called to become members of God's heavenly "woman", but who spiritually "fornicated", they were not chosen for further spiritual development due to their unfaithfulness to God. (Hosea 4:1-10. Matt 22:14 RSV). These unfaithful covenant-leavers have progressively had a legal case conducted against them by faithful anointed "sons of the Living God", to whom these unfaithful ones once said: "You men are not My people". (See Dan 11:30-32). "Children" of the spiritual "fornication" of unfaithful "Israel" are denounced by the legal case of the "Little Scroll". (Rev 10:8-11). This "fornication" by members of unfaithful "Israel" has given birth to "children" of their "fornication", the outcome of unfaithful "Israel" saying: "I want to go after those passionately loving me, those giving my bread and my water, my wool and my linen, my oil and my drink."  (2:4,5 NWT & NEB.  See Rev 2:20-23).

Those passionately loving unfaithful "Israel" instead of the commandments of God are "Ahab" ba'al worshippers of the "disgusting thing" that have profaned the sanctuary of God and that are to become an "object of astonishment". (Micah 6:16. Dan 11:31). Jehovah is hedging their way about with "thorn-bushes", obstructing "her" path with a "wall", "so that she can no longer follow her old ways."  (Hosea 2:6 NEB).  Though chasing after those passionately loving "her", "she will not find them." (2:7). Consequently, Jehovah is snatching back His  spiritual "grain", "sweet wine in its season" and "wool" covering their spirit nakedness. (2:9,10). Jehovah will desolate the "vine" and "fig tree" that unfaithful "Israel" has received as gifts from "her" "intense lovers"     causing all their "festal seasons" to cease.  (2:11,12.  Zech 13:2-6).

We rejoice that Jehovah has prevailed over faithful anointed sons of spiritual "Judah" to send them into a spiritual "wilderness" condition to "speak to (their) heart." (2:14.  Rev 12:14). Jehovah has begun to restore to us His fruitful "vineyards", turning troublesome ostracism into the "entrance to hope" for conducting the legal case of "My Husband" "You are My God."  (2:15,16 & 23).  Being ostracized for carrying on a legal case for Jehovah is   how faithful anointed sons of God arrive at the "entrance to hope". (2:2) (Achor:  ostracism, trouble).  Jehovah allures His people back by the seed* of troublesome ostracism, which is the "entrance to hope". (2:15).

Unfaithful "Israel" has stopped following Jehovah and are making "sacrificial smoke" to their dungy idols of ba'al and the rules fabricated by these JW apostates. "The quarrel with you, false priest, is Mine", says Jehovah. (4:4 NEB). For they have "proceeded to dedicate themselves to the shameful thing, and they came to be disgusting like the thing of their love."  (9:10).

Jez're.el was the name Jehovah gave to the first child and son of Hosea and his harlot wife.  (1:4).

The second child Jehovah called Lo-ru.ha'mah, meaning 'No mercy'.
Jehovah said He would no more show mercy again to the house of Israel.  (1:6).

The third child Jehovah called Lo-am'mi, meaning 'Not My people'.  (1:9).
