THE "AHAB" OF TODAY AND THEIR "JEZEBEL" WIVES.

"Have you murdered and also taken possession? …In the place where the dogs licked up the blood of Naboth, the dogs will lick up your blood, even yours." (1 Kings 21:19).

"Look! I am sending to you people Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and fear‑inspiring day of Jehovah." (Mal 4:5).

The Christ used the activities of Jezebel of the past to reveal the works of "that woman Jezebel" at a future time and in a spiritual sense, during the "Lord's day". (Rev 1:10). Because the characters and events of 1 Kings Chapter 21 are also figurative, those they represent today must be understood spiritually, pending the arrival and invisible presence of our Lord Jesus. Let us read The Christ's warnings through an angel of his congregations today: "Nevertheless, I do hold this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and misleads my slaves to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols." (See Rev 2:20-23).

The Christ prophesied that despite his warnings the activities of "that woman Jezebel" would be "tolerated" within his congregations. This is being fulfilled today, and it is held against them. What else did our Lord say in his warning? This: "And I gave her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her fornication." (Rev 2:21). But given that the first Jezebel was not given time to repent, and her Judgement and execution were carried out immediately, indicates that Christ's words were intended as a warning to us during the "Lord's day" a warning given hundreds of years after the death of the first Jezebel. So why refer to "her" as a type to watch for today but not tolerate? The reasons are made clear:

(1)	She falsely claims to be a *"prophetess"* through the exercise of such authority.
(2)	She dejects the hearts of righteous ones by promoting the *"deep things of satan", teaching and misleading some of Christ's anointed slaves to commit spiritual "fornication"* with *"her"* and to **"eat things sacrificed to idols". "Jezebel" women advocate works of apostasy in congregations to scatter the "least" of Christ's anointed brothers. "She" accomplishes these works through the unscriptural authority of "her" unsealed husbands appointed as 'elders' without an anointing of Holy Spirit from God. (Rev 3:9).**

Ahab did not have a God-given hereditary possession such as anointed sons of God have who are "branches" of the "true vine" The Christ. For such ones are gathered and spiritually cultivated as God's Kingdom heirs. (John 15:1-10). Ahab's house stood alongside Naboth's hereditary possession. But rather than help Naboth cultivate the soil of the vineyard, Ahab sought the land for himself. And so today, rather than help cultivate the spiritual "soil" so that anointed "Naboths" may "sow" the spiritual "seed" (Holy Spirit) and all receive blessings, "Ahab" types seek authority over the spiritual "land" of God for themselves over Christ's congregations. Because Naboth's righteousness diminished her husband's evil authority, Jezebel used her husband's authority to fabricate a scheme. She ordered that good-for-nothing men make a false accusation against Naboth, supported by the "older men". With Naboth dead, and her husband's evil authority still intact among the people, she could continue to mislead them.

But Ahab knew of his sin before Jehovah by saying to God's messenger Elijah: "Have you found me, O enemy of mine?" Elijah replied, "I have found you. 'For the reason that you have sold yourself to do what is bad in the eyes of Jehovah'", and whom "Jezebel his wife egged on." (1 Kings 21:20,25). "Jezebel"-type women today imitate her by adopting the same course of conduct toward the "least" of Jesus' anointed brothers in the congregations. The guilt of their husbands is also known; the baal priests and good-for-nothing fellows used by "her". Their destiny is written in our Heavenly Father's Word. Those of you who have been tolerating and committing "adultery" with "her": Repent! Correct it immediately, before the calamity begins. (Rev 2:21-23). Do not show the same cowardice as those proposing obedience in picture form (JW Watchtower article July 24th 1977. Pg.368) trying it on for size, but who are afraid to teach it.
