JEZEBEL WOMEN.

From the JW book:

YEARBOOK OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES:

'Activity Draws Opposition.
...At the same time efforts to bring the organization more into line with scriptural requirements were due to produce sharp differences within the ranks of the Bible Students themselves. For example,
women had played quite a prominent part in the early days in Glasgow and other congregations, conducting Sunday schools for children. This arrangement now came under review and it was soon evident that Brother Russell did not favour it. Some were rather put out by the modified view on woman's place in the Christian congregation.    1 Tim 2:11,12.'

DO YOU THINK IT RIGHT TO TEACH
THESE CHILDREN NOW THEY ARE
MEN
,
  AS JW WOMEN ARE DOING?

"Nevertheless, I do hold this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and misleads my slaves to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her fornication. Look! I am about to throw her into a sickbed, and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds. And her children I will kill with deadly plague, so that all the congregations will know that I am he who searches the inmost thoughts and hearts, and I will give  to  you individually according to your deeds." (Rev 2:20-23).

WHY QUESTION YOUR HUSBANDS
AT HOME WHEN YOU ANSWER
THEM AT MEETINGS?

From the JW book:

LIFE EVERLASTING IN FREEDOM
OF THE SONS OF GOD:

'Enslavement to Transgression and Death.
...She did not start disputing her husband's words, but it was a slanderer who did so. To all appearances the slanderer or devil was a cautious lowly serpent. In seeming innocence it asked the woman about God's law against eating of the tree of knowledge of good and bad. Then when the woman repeated God's law laid upon her and her husband and the penalty for breaking it, the serpent contradicted God and said: "You positively will not die. For God knows that in the very day of your eating from it your eyes are bound to be opened and
you are bound to be like God, knowing good and bad." (Genesis 3:1-5) What a slander! …Did she not want to become like God Himself, knowing good and bad? She now felt under the bondage of blindness and ignorance, and she wanted to be free. She would no longer keep herself under her husband's law. She would act as an independent free moral agent. She would make decisions for herself and   her husband. God's prohibitory law was questionable…'

From the JW book:

LET YOUR NAME BE SANCTIFIED.

'Adam did not live up to his responsibility as a husband and head of the wife. He did not refuse to be led in the wrong direction by his wife, who now wanted to take the lead contrary to God's arrangement. Regardless of the cost that would have to be borne, Adam let the clearly recognized lie and slander against the name of his heavenly Father stand. Adam wilfully brushed God's law aside and listened to his lawbreaking wife, who wanted to make a goddess of herself, a prophetess, an oracle of a new religion or form of worship.'

"As in all the congregations of the holy ones, let the women keep silent in the congregations, for it is not permitted for them to speak, but let them* be in subjection, even as the Law says. If, then, they want to learn something, let them question their own husbands at home, for it is disgraceful  for a woman to speak in a congregation. What? Was it from you that the word of God came forth, or was it only as far as you that it reached?"  (1 Cor 14:33 36).

"In like manner, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, in order that, if any are not obedient  to the word, they may be won without  a  word through the conduct of their wives..."  (See 1 Peter 3:1-6).

CHRIST INSTRUCTING BROTHERS
     TO  ALLOW,  NOT  FORBID
*  THEIR
     SUBJECTION.

DISGRACE.

"JEZEBEL": Women teachers of their new religion, pushing ahead presumptuously with or without their husbands, teaching other women's husbands and their families. Misleading Christ's slaves to commit spiritual "fornication" through the authority of "Ahab" men.  (See Page 810).  But  "I  have found you."     (1 Kings 21:20 22).
