WHEN
THE CHRIST ARRIVES, THE
ACTIVITIES Concerning Noah's day, one notable fact is that the inhabitants "knew nothing" of the coming disaster until the worldwide flood came and swept them all away. (24:39 NEB). Because of Noah's faithful obedience to the Spirit of God, he was given Divine warning of the coming flood and the means by which he and his family would be saved; both physically and spiritually. (Heb 11:7). Given the relatively small number of potential saved ones in the world today, the Second Coming of The Christ our Lord will be "as a thief" to the great majority of mankind. Through their rebellion and contempt for God, the Godless majority have made themselves unaware of the Way of The Lord and of his coming. First, The Christ Michael will resurrect his faithful Spirit anointed brothers appointed to manage his household. (1 Thess 4:13-17). Those whom the Lord finds supplying his "household staff" their spiritual "food" at the proper time, he will put in charge of all their master's "property". (24:42-47 NEB & NWT). Faithful anointed ones appointed to heavenly positions of authority will have greater spiritual responsibilities in connection with the lives of the remaining saved ones on earth during the millennial Rule of The Christ Michael and after the Spirit "flood" of righteousness has been poured out. (Isaiah 10:22,23 NEB & footnote. Rev 20:6). When the "thief" arrives to remove the apostasy of the "man of lawlessness" from the spiritual "land" of God, in accordance with the Divine principle stated in Ezekiel 9:4-7 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, it will also be in fulfilment of Matthew 24:40,41 NEB: "Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken, the other left; two women grinding at the mill; one will be taken, the other left". One may ask: In what way must one "keep awake" to prevent one's "house" being broken into? (24:42-44). The answer, is that we must not tire of waiting for the Lord's arrival and lapse into an unspiritual condition unreceptive to the Lord and His Spirit communications. Such ones will be found bullying the other servants and shall find their place with the hypocrites for doing those things not fitting. (24:48-51 NEB).
A DIFFERENT KIND OF "FLOOD" THIS TIME.
