SOME IMPORTANT POINTS ON LOVE.

Love is the most important quality of life, but is an overly expressed and widely misused word.  In many cases, a  different expression should be used, as love is a Spirit attribute of Jehovah God     a fruit of His Spirit.  (Gal 5:22)  (1 John 4:7  10).

If you call a person 'love', you imply that the person is a personification of love.  Only unenlightened ones habitually use this word, because they do not understand what love really means, nor what its basic requirements are.

By the Spirit of God the apostle John wrote: "Do not think I am giving a new command;  I am recalling the one we have had before us from the beginning: let us love one another. And love means following the commands of God."  (From 2 John V.5,6 NEB).

These scriptures convey that even after knowing the qualities of true love, one cannot show love to another while disobeying the commands of God. To be able to show genuine love to others, one first needs to have knowledge of the commands of God and be practicing them as one's rule of conduct.  (Gal 6:16).

As for Godless sinners, their frequent use of the word 'love', often accompanied by an endearing tone, is merely a hypocritical affectation to gain one's confidence, favour, or acceptance     while maintaining a contempt for God.

The Spirit Law of God is revealed through anointed brothers of The Christ under the "new covenant" of God.  (See Heb 8:8-13.  Rev 7:4).  Let us consider the qualities described in the Word of God by which love may be shown among obedient practicing Christians:

"Love is patient; love is kind and envies no one. Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, not quick to take offence. Love keeps no score of wrongs; does not gloat over other men's sins, but delights in the truth. There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope, and its endurance." (1 Cor 13:4-7 NEB).  Neither does love seek its own selfish interests: "Each of you must regard, not his own interests, but the other man's."  (1 Cor 10:24 NEB).

It would be wise, however, to keep a record of serious wrongs committed against you by unrepentant troublemakers of this world, to pre-empt any fabrication of a legal case against you. Love is a holy quality, and is not due to such ones. (Matt 7:6 NEB). A record is also kept of the apostate deeds of the "man of lawlessness" being "revealed" according to The Christ's Word in fulfilment of 2 Thessalonians 2:3-8.

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR PEOPLE IGNORING GOD TO SHOW LOVE:
"Do not set your hearts on the Godless world or anything in it. Anyone who loves the world is a stranger to the Father's love... but he who does God's Will stands for evermore."  (From 1 John 2:15-17 NEB). "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey His commandments. For this is the love  of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.  For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith."  (1 John 5:2  4 RSV).
