ESCAPEES FROM THE MODERN-DAY ASSYRIAN.
"And this will be
the sign for
you: "There will be an eating this year of
the growth from
spilled kernels, and in the
second year grain
that shoots up of itself; but in the third year sow seed,
you people, and reap, and plant vineyards and eat their fruitage.
And
those who escape of the house of Judah, those who are left remaining,
will certainly take root downward and produce fruitage upward. For out of
Jerusalem a remnant will go forth and those who escape out of Mount Zion. The
very zeal of Jehovah of armies will do this.""
(Isaiah 37:30-32).
"THE SIGN" FOR PEOPLE OF GOD.
During September 1982 Lebanon was
invaded by military forces having the warring disposition and disdainful
attitude of the "Assyrian": "...I have scaled high mountains, and reached
the ravines of Lebanon; I fell its tallest cedars..." (37:24 Moffatt.
Zech 11:1-3). But from ancient times Almighty God has used the
"Assyrian" to carry out His Will, just as it is written: "But have
you never learned, the Eternal asks, I did all this, I planned this long ago?
'Twas I who from the first conceived it, 'tis I who make it now your task to lay
strong fortresses in ruins..." (37:26 Moffatt). The "Assyrian" includes
those who persecute anointed sons of God and their offspring of the
"house
of Judah."
"EATING THIS YEAR OF THE GROWTH FROM
SPILLED KERNELS"
"Eating this year of the growth from
spilled kernels" was our
knowledge of the Will and purpose of God undergoing fulfilment in 1982.

883B). Our God given knowledge of
the despoiling of "majestic ones"
in Lebanon to signify the annulment of "the covenant which the Lord had
made with all nations" was an example of our spiritually
"eating this year of the growth from spilled
kernels".

"IN THE SECOND YEAR GRAIN THAT SHOOTS UP OF
ITSELF".
The "grain" of Spirit
knowledge that "shoots up of itself" during the "second
year" is the additional Spirit knowledge that we are now receiving and
that you are now reading. Twenty eight pages of Spirit
knowledge from the first and second "years" recorded in the
"Little Scroll" were sent for publication in Israel. (See Pages 2/9/83A and 2/9/83B).
"BUT IN THE THIRD YEAR SOW SEED".
When the
"Little Scroll"
is complete, there will be enough knowledge of the Spirit "seed"
of God in the "grain pit" for those of the "house of Judah"
and "those who are left remaining" to
"take root downward
and produce fruitage upward"; for the "sowing" of Spirit
"seed" in them will produce spiritual "fruitage".
(37:30 32) (Rev 10:1-11. Haggai 2:19). The "third year" begins
September 1984.
Jehovah uses the
"spilled kernels", the "grain", and the
"seed" of wheat as a metaphor for the "house of Judah" and
"those who are left remaining". As "wheat"-like
people they will "take root downward and produce fruitage upward".
(See Matt 13:24-30). When the Spirit "seed" of God takes root
within them and bears "fruitage", it can then be said:
"From this day I [Jehovah] shall bestow blessing." (Haggai 2:19).
