THE PENULTIMATE EVENT OF THE "SIGNAL" The long-awaited reversal for the spirits and lives of people of God who have been "scattered among the nations" (Joel 3:2) is linked to and will be fulfilled after the penultimate event of the "Signal" of God: The completion of the spiritual work of His anointed "locusts" to remove the spirit of uncleanness and apostasy from His spiritual "land". (2:1-6. Rev 9:1-6). Then there shall begin the outpouring of the awesome Spirit of God upon "all mankind". (Joel 2:28 NEB). The last event described in the prophecy through Joel is the total desolating by God of the wicked systems and nations of people with natures like those of "Egypt" and "Edom". (3:19). Sectarian leaders teach that the effect of God pouring out His Spirit is a blessing for all, as though this unparalleled event had already occurred! But the truth is that when He pours out His Spirit, "Jehovah will be a refuge for His people, and a fortress for the sons of Israel." (3:16). What effect will the Spirit of the Lord's Judgement have in the spirits of rebellious ones, those up in arms at the execution of His judicial decisions against the Godless? The vast majority are already aroused against Almighty God for executing His judicial decisions by fire, storm, sword, deluge, plague, drought and famine as He brings calamity upon Godless ones sinning against His chosen people. In their attempts to counteract His judicial decisions, Godless ones demonstrate their indignation against God by promoting Aid programmes. (3:11,12). But when "The Lord roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem" they will "shudder" as their evil lives and motives are exposed BY THE OUTPOURED SPIRIT OF HIS JUDGEMENT! (3:16 NEB).
THE AWESOME DAY OF THE LORD IS
WHEN HE POURS OUT HIS SPIRIT! This Spirit will rejuvenate His people but
will destroy Godless ones. The last event before "the great and
fear-inspiring day of Jehovah" is still "thief"-like to the unthinking
minds of Godless ones, and is the completion of the spiritual work of anointed
"locusts" of God removing apostates and their false teachings from
His spiritual "land". As for this apostate "northerner"
(NWT),
the "disgusting thing" "standing in a holy place", Jehovah has
said He will remove them "far away from you and banish them into a land
parched and waste"
without His Spirit "water of life". (2:20 NEB.
Matt 24:15. Rev 21:5-8).
But who of you will listen to these advanced warnings and call together a "solemn assembly" to "sanctify a congregation" and
"cry to Jehovah for aid"? (2:15 The events of the "Signal" of God include those whose demonic activities indicate that they have already come up to the "Valley of the Lord's Judgement" (3:9-16 NEB):
