"LOCUSTS":
THE "WHIRRING INSECTS" OF GOD.
(From Isaiah
17:12 to 19:25. Joel 2:1-14. Rev 9:1-11).
His locust army shall overtake
the envoys sent along the Nile.
Residents of all the earth shall see
the Signal upon the mountains
of desperate nations.
The Dark Continent and its peoples
shall cry a loud lament
In utter hopelessness.
'Thieves' prune their scorched harvests,
a mighty and relentless army,
with jaws like a million shears.
With ever increasing numbers,
and insatiable appetites unquenched,
they march across the lands of Africa.
They are a military force of God,
sacrificing those who still reject
His beloved spiritual nation.
To the creators of the valueless gods
of Egypt He gives attention:
Drying up the seedland of the Nile.
We hear the din of mighty nations,
the boisterousness of our plunderers,
chastised by the "fire" of His rebuke,
Famine steals food from their mouths,
and their remains lie as food
for the wild beasts of the field.
"Four families" of destruction shall leave
a small insignificant nation,
a gift offering to Jehovah of armies.
Almighty God Jehovah shall expose
the "haughtily exultant ones"
that plundered His spiritual nation.
Jehovah has commissioned
"four families" of destruction against nations of Africa. Because their
sins are greater than those of evil Manasseh, they shall suffer famine,
pestilence, sword and captivity. (Jer 15:1 4 NEB & NWT).
He will also infuse into the rulers of Egypt and their valueless gods "a
spirit that warps their judgement". (Isaiah 19:14
NEB).
This will let remain a people humble and lowly, offering up a clean spiritual
gift to Jehovah: Themselves! (Zeph 3:10 12. Isaiah
18:7 &
19:21).
