. ANOTHER OF MANY ERRONEOUS SECTARIAN TEACHINGS TODAY. ON THE TRINITY. INVESTIGATING THE SOURCE OF SECTARIAN DOCTRINES, WE FIND As Augustine based his argument as to the identity of God upon a false premise, let us unravel this destructive teaching, for it is still prevalent today. Augustine states: 'the begetter and the begotten... the Father and the Son... these two, with their Spirit, are one God'. If it were true that the Father and the Son is one person, it would mean not only that the Son is his Father, but that the Father is his Son! What nonsense! Augustine continues to weave this unfathomable web by stating: 'the Spirit is other than the Father and the Son, since he is not the Father or the Son'. Are we to deduce from this that he (Holy Spirit) is therefore the Creator? What nonsense! As the begetter is God the Father, and the begotten is His Son The Christ, the Son cannot possibly be a part of Augustine's triune God, which means Augustine's assertion that 'This Trinity is one God' is a lie! That the trinity doctrine is a fabrication is borne out by the following scriptural account: "After baptism Jesus came up out of the water at once, and at that moment heaven opened; he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove to alight upon him; and a voice from heaven was heard saying, 'This is My Son, My Beloved, on whom My favour rests.'" (Matt 3:16,17 NEB). This exposes the absurdity of Augustine's teaching. For if 'the Father and the Son... these two, with their Spirit, are one God', it would mean that after Jesus was baptized with water, God then baptized Himself (Jesus) with Himself (Holy Spirit) and that God (in heaven) said to Himself on earth, "'This is My Son, My Beloved, on whom My favour rests.'" Given that Trinitarians are also deluded by the fallacious belief that their Virgin Mary is the mother of God, who then is the father of this 'mother of God'? It is due to Augustine's false teaching that millions of Catholics believe the Son is also the Father. They therefore do not believe in the individual existence of Christ as the Son of God. They are therefore antichrists, just as it is written: "Who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one that denies the Father and the Son. Everyone that denies the Son does not have the Father either. He that confesses the Son has the Father also." (1 John 2:22,23). THE
TRUTH ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD.
