THE DESTINY OF THOSE WAGING WAR
AGAINST SPIRITUAL "MOUNT ZION".

"And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, all that fight against her and her stronghold and distress her (her oppressors. NWT), shall be like a dream, a vision of the night." (Isaiah 29:7 RSV). "Yes, it must occur just as when someone hungry dreams and here he is eating, and he actually awakes and his soul is empty; and just as when someone thirsty dreams and here he is drinking, and he actually awakes and here he is tired and his soul is dried out; thus it will occur with the crowd of all the nations that are waging war against Mount Zion." (29:8 NWT).

The Spirit of God has been working in the hearts and spirits of His chosen sons over many generations. Through heavenly knowledge received by Holy Spirit from God they have promoted the spiritual growth of other prospective members of heavenly "Jerusalem" and the "great crowd" of "other sheep". (Heb 12:22 24) (1 John 2:27. John 10:16). They also have another work: "The weapons we wield are not merely human, but Divinely potent to demolish strongholds; we demolish sophistries* and all that rears its proud head against the knowledge of God; we compel every human thought to surrender in obedience to Christ; and we are prepared to punish all rebellion when once you have put yourselves in our hands." (2 Cor 10:4 6 NEB). False and deceptive reasoning* raised up against the knowledge of God are the "siege works" used by those with a warring "Edomite" disposition to distress and thwart the spiritual development of members of spiritual "Mount Zion". (29:7 NEB).

GODLESS LIVES AWAKENED TO SPIRIT EMPTINESS.
Although its approach will be "thief"-like, emptiness of spirit will become evident among warring Godless ones. Their enjoyment of life will gradually diminish. They will no longer be able to sustain the delusion afforded by self deception and hypocrisy, and as spirit "hunger" and "thirst" continue to grow within them, they will no longer be able to preoccupy themselves with worldly pursuits. They will be awakened to their spirit "nakedness" before God and will feel ashamed for having warred against His Spirit. They will be held to account by the Spirit of His Judgement. (Rev 16:15,16).

To the apostates waging war against spiritual "Mount Zion" while claiming to be part of the spiritual "land" of God, The Lord says: ""Since this people draw near Me with their mouth," says The Eternal, "honouring Me with their lips, while their hearts are far remote; since their religion is a mockery, a mere tradition learned by rote; I will now deal with them to their amazement, bewildering, surprising them, till their wise men lose their wits, and their clever men are fooled."" (Isaiah 29:13,14 Moffatt). To "this people" the true meaning of the Word of God is "sealed up". (29:11). By their apostasy they squandered the opportunity of being gathered to God through the exercise of true faith in the "good news" of The Christ. Its purpose has been "brought to a finish". (Rev 10:7). The destiny of apostates is that they shall be awakened to "the reproach of eternal abhorrence." (Dan 12:2 NEB).
