THEIR "ACTIVE DELUSION".
This "active delusion" is the result of putting "faith in falsehood". (2:11 Moffatt). Unlike the faithful anointed "discreet slave" class of The Christ who feed their "domestics" (their spiritual family) instructive life-fortifying spiritual "food" from God at the proper time, those who "put faith in falsehood" actively delude others as well as themselves into believing that they are members of the "discreet slave" class. But to falsely claim to be inhabited by the Spirit of God means that they are unable to feed the "domestics" spiritual "food" at the proper  time.  (Matt 24:45.  1 John 2:26,27.  Eph 2:19-22.  1 Cor 3:16,17).

DELUSION:  Anything that deceives the mind with a false impression.

The attendant "powerful signs and miracles of the Lie" are the work of satan, and serve to augment the "active delusion" of unsealed men that they may go on to seek appointment as JW 'elders' ("wickedness... revealed in human form") and become part of the "final rebellion against God". Deluding others as well as themselves, they enslave receptive ones (their "lovers") with their apostate teachings. (Zech 13:4-6). Twisting the true meanings of the written Word of God, they falsely and prematurely apply the fulfilment of certain prophecies to themselves that they may appear like gods to their "lovers", criticizing the unGodly activities of other sects to appear 'righteous'. But having prematurely and erroneously chosen particular world events as the fulfilment of scriptural prophecies to promote themselves, the sect falsely calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses have left themselves with a spiritual "famine" in the "time of the end". (Isaiah 29:8). All this to gain pride of place among mere men, missing the very purpose of God to create in mankind a perfected spirit while suffering in imperfect flesh.

"And now, brothers, about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and his gathering of us to himself: I beg you, do not suddenly lose your heads or alarm yourselves, whether at some oracular utterance, or pronouncement, or some letter purporting to come from us, alleging that the Day of the Lord is already here. (1) Let no one deceive you in any way whatever. That day cannot come before the final rebellion (2) against God, when wickedness will be revealed in human form, the man doomed to perdition. He is the Enemy. He (3) rises in his pride against every god, so called, every object of men's worship, and even takes his seat (4) in the temple of God claiming to be a god himself. You cannot but remember that I told you this while I was still with you; you must now be aware of the restraining hand which ensures that he shall be revealed only at the proper time. (5) For already the secret power of wickedness is at work, secret only for the present until the Restrainer disappears from the scene. And then he will be revealed, that wicked man whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath  of his mouth, (6) and annihilate by the radiance of his coming. But the coming of that wicked man is the work of satan. It will be attended by all the powerful signs and miracles of the Lie, and all the deception that sinfulness can impose on those doomed to destruction. Destroyed they shall be, because they did not open their minds to love of the truth, so as to find salvation. Therefore God puts them under a delusion, (7) which works upon them to believe the lie, so that they may all be brought to Judgement, all who do not believe the truth but make sinfulness their deliberate choice."  (2 Thess 2:1-12 NEB).

(4) Among anointed sons of God,       but without an anointing to do so.   (5) During this decade.   (6) Denunciations of God upon the      "final rebellion against God" are       recorded on pages 777 to 887 of       The Opened "Little Scroll" from       14/12/76 to 18/11/82 and are       continuing.  (See Rev 10:7-11).
