12/2/96). At the imminent manifestation of the presence and the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Judgement and condemnation of the "man of lawlessness" by God may at first seem severe. However, when one takes into account the evil works of each of the individual members of this "final rebellion against God", when their wickedness was "revealed in human form" as they sinned against the Holy Spirit of God, their anguish and hopelessness will justifiably torment* their rebel spirits, even after death, regardless of the delusion satan had kept them under. (2 Thess 2:3,4 NEB) (* 2 Esdras 9:7-12 & 8:55-61 NEB). For them to rise up in rebellion against God, required extreme pride and arrogance, a spirit of presumptuousness and hatred to war against Holy Spirit active within the anointed "temple" class of God. (1 Cor 3:16,17) (1 John 2:27). These lawless ones of the "final rebellion against God" usurped the responsibilities of faithful anointed sons of God and effectively took their seat in the temple of God, thereby claiming to be gods. By their 'shifting of responsibilities' from anointed ones to unsealed men to impose their will in JW congregations, they claim greater authority than the Holy Spirit of God ! This was the "final rebellion". (2:3,4 NEB). Faithful Spirit anointed sons of God do not fabricate or proclaim predictions of their own. The sect falsely calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses are guilty of many false predictions. (2:9,10 NEB). To be the apostate "man of lawlessness", the sect of JWs had to proclaim "the Day of the Lord is already here". (2:2 NEB). For more than 100 years the sect of JWs have proclaimed the year 1914AD as the beginning of the "Day of the Lord". But rather than proclaim such "lying signs and portents" and persecuting anointed ones who were a "restraint" to their wickedness, they should have had "the love of the truth" of Spirit corrective disciplines from the Lord issued through the "least" of his anointed brothers for the congregations. (2:9,10. Matt 25:41-46). As a result of the lying proclamations of "lawless ones" in JW congregations, God let an operation of error go to them "which works upon them to believe the lie, so that they may all be brought to Judgement, all who do not believe the truth but make sinfulness their deliberate choice." (2:11,12 NEB). Those who did not believe, or have a love of, the Spirit corrective disciplines issued through the "least" of Jesus' anointed brothers, took pleasure in unrighteousness by usurping them. Falling under an apostate delusion, they believe the "lying signs and portents" issued to them by those falsely claiming to be spiritual "Jews". (Rev 3:9). As unsealed 'elders' exercising authority over both "flocks", they will be among the first to be exposed by the Spirit of the Lord's mouth through the bitter "Little Scroll". (2:8. Rev 10:8-11).
Because the Lord knew who would
become members of the "man of lawlessness" in JW congregations, he
taught his anointed brothers how to identify them. At the manifestation of his
presence, the Lord will do away with all lawless ones by the "Spirit of
his mouth". (2:8). The Lord will execute the Judgement of God upon all
"lawless ones", commencing from His House
