(ISAIAH No.1)
WHY THE VISIONS OF ISAIAH ARE With reference to the visions delivered to the prophet Isaiah by Divine inspiration from God, what is important to understand is that they were intended to be fulfilled centuries later in Spirit manifestations within the spiritual "land" of His people: "Look! I and the children whom Jehovah has given me are as signs and as miracles in Israel from Jehovah of armies, who is residing in Mount Zion." (Isaiah 8:18). Past events that occurred in Judah and Jerusalem were but a "shadow" of future realities yet to take place, and have their fulfilment in the people of spiritual "Judah" and "Jerusalem" today. (Isaiah 1:1. Col 2:16,17). They are intended for the spiritual nation of the sons of "Judah" and the heavenly realm of Mount Zion, the "Jerusalem" above. This is in order that there is left on earth a holy "seed" after the removal of the spirit of uncleanness from the spiritual "land" of God.
INTERPRETING THESE "SHADOWS" OF THE PAST. Chapter 2: Jehovah promises that in days to come "the mountain of the house of Jehovah" (spiritual Mount Zion) shall be firmly established over all the nations. For instruction will issue from Zion and the Word of God from heavenly "Jerusalem", that He may "instruct us about His ways, and we will walk in His paths." "Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore." In the Day of Jehovah the pride and loftiness of mankind and their false gods will be brought low. The dread and splendour of His majesty will inspire mankind with fear. Some will "enter into the caves of the rocks... when He rises up for the earth to suffer shocks." Through The Christ's taunting of evil plotters by fire, storm, earthquake, deluge, plague, drought, famine and war, shocks have already begun. (2 Esdras Ch.15 & 16 NEB). Chapter 3: Jehovah will remove and destroy all apostates appointed to positions of authority in Christ's congregations; who have spiritually warred against, falsely prophesied against, and falsely condemned sons of "Judah" and spiritual "Jerusalem". Though people may look for other men to lead them, those men will fear the consequences and refuse. Women will mourn the deaths of their apostate husbands. Ostracism from God will cause spirit "darkness" for these "daughters of Zion".
Chapter 4: Widows will appeal to faithful male servants of God to marry them to take away
the reproach of bearing the name of their dead apostate husbands. In that day
when Jehovah washes away the excrement ("dungy idols") of the "daughters
of Zion" by the consuming Spirit of His Judgement, Jehovah will make
glorious the spiritual "fruitage" of
His
planting Chapter 5: Because many claiming to belong to the "house of Israel" (Jehovah's "vineyard") and to "men of Judah" (His "plantation") have proven "wild", He will remove their protection and let them be "burnt" and "trampled" by the Spirit of His Judgement. (5:5 NEB). Annexing His spiritual "land" to leave no room for His beloved people brings the anger of God upon them. For spurning His instruction and rejecting His Word, the Holy One of Israel will make their houses an "object of astonishment" without an inhabitant in that day of "distressing darkness" in the "land".
