The Political "WILD BEAST",
THE SECTARIAN "Harlot" AND
THEIR Cities to Be Desolated.Loudly declaring their
'virtues',
their crimes slyly concealed,
Wading through the slaughtered
to take a worldly throne,
Shutting the gates of mercy to all mankind on earth,
Caught alive, (1) abyssed,
(2) tormented forever, alone. (3)
Can flattery or glory pacify their desires in death?
Or their cold hearts placate destructive Spirit "fire"? (3)
Though rich with the spoils of men, it is their undoing,
The pride of nations
to an everlasting grave retires.
Their admirers, hostile to the "Lamb", will grieve, (4)
In nations that protest
the fall of Babylon's cities, (5)
Sectarian "harlots" (6)
are demon dwellings that deceived, (7)
Destroyed by God, to begin His Rule (8)
for those He pities. (9)
