The following poem relates to those
we read about from time to time in newspaper reports and of the harassment
they receive from local authorities of the political "wild beast"
because they wish to live a simpler life
their way. It
THEY WANT THE GROUND YOU'RE
"Move on! Move on!
We want this ground you're standing on."
"But we have nowhere, no place do we own.
In perpetuity among your kind
all they own."
Yet, we must all live somewhere
in a field.
"We'll not allow you people to camp anywhere
to become a town
out of our social welfare!"
"But we stop in places not used by man,
yet you move us on as fast as you can."
Yet, we all need somewhere to live
"Why don't you live in a house, like us,
instead of a tent,
caravan, or bus?"
"Is this your grievance? That we've no walls of clay?
Not imprisoned by walls or a life made your way."
Whatever, we all must live somewhere
in a field.
"But Mr. Landowner, Policeman,
some who join are your sons and won't budge.
How do you feel, throwing them out into the night?
Face to face with the truth is now your plight!"
Yet, we still need somewhere
in God's fields and sight.
"You tyrants waste mountains of beef, grain and butter,
must you see us low in the gutter?
We'd like to use some of God's land and work it for our needs,
but you keep us in poverty and deprive us like weeds."
We all have needs, somewhere to live
"Why not contribute to our society?
live according to our propriety?"
"What? And bully those who expose society's indoctrination?
Support the very tyrants who cause the demonstrations?
No! We'll go on living from field to field."
"Then we'll move you on! Move you on!"
But there is hope, a solution to this sad dilemma,
When their 666 year rule is thrown into Gehenna!
