THE SADNESS HABIT.
.

True, life at times is sad, and this we know,

When sunny days retreat to long dark nights.

So reach for happier times and make them grow,

Dismiss the shadows of despair     think light!

Faith's knowledge can make you firm and sound,

God's promises of love, His light, His rain,

And with the help of loved ones all around,

Dispel the thoughts that bring you so much pain.

When your mind dwells on ills with habitual ease,

And sadness calls you back with anxious cares,

Shout: "HABIT!  You're no longer my disease!"

Resist the sadness trait that brings despair.

Then happiness will return to your new estate.
