The purpose of the next part of this book is to identify the "signposts" that direct one along the way to a life that God accepts, and to reject the approval of mere men. When I was a child, I attended a Protestant church. Many years later, I became acquainted with another religious group, the apostate ideology of the Mormon sect. Soon after that, I learned about the apostate works of the sect falsely calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses. I deem this to be my journey to progressively "get  out  of  her"      to get out of spiritistic "Babylon". This symbolic name represents both spiritistic and commercially materialistic error (two of the "parts" described in Revelation 16:19).  In fact, commercial "Babylon" and the Godless politics of the "wild beast" are used as a vehicle by the sectarian "harlot" of "Babylon". ⁽³⁶⁾

Over two thousand years BC, the tower and city of Babel was built. The city, founded by Nimrod, became the capitol of the first political empire. It later became known as Babylon (meaning: confusion). The remains of fifty-three temples to false gods have been discovered there. It  was where magic, astrology and divination were practiced, and where demon gods, goddesses and human dungy idols were worshipped. All this idolatry has been handed down through generations to Godless mankind today.

Jesus charged sectarian misleaders with the responsibility for "all the righteous blood spilled on earth",  as those who are "drunk with the blood of the holy ones, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus." ⁽³⁷⁾

"Babylon the Great", the "mother" of "harlot" false religion today, is the spiritistic counterpart of ancient Babylon. The final manifestation of mystic "Babylon" is her end as the "dwelling place of demons". This is clearly evident among those committing spirit "fornication" with her through her "dungy idols"; idolizing church misleaders, politicians, pop idols, film stars etc. Almighty God likens human idols to excrement. They excite their emotions and those of their worshippers to such a pitch that it shuts out honest spiritual thought and subjection to their Creator's Will and purpose for them. This is particularly apparent with those idols who seek to entertain. We have been warned that those who succumb to the worship of human dungy idols and exchange the truth of God for the lie administered by these idols, are under a delusion "which works upon them to believe the lie".  (2 Thess 2:10-12 NEB).

As to the garb worn by each sect, it is common for religious leaders to wear "outlandish fashions" to visually distinguish themselves and promote themselves above others. These are dungy idols. ⁽³⁸⁾  But there are others more cunning, who wear ordinary attire to visit people at their homes     despite the fact that the "good news" of gathering people through faith in The Christ has already been "brought to a finish." ⁽³⁹⁾  That is why Almighty God allows an "operation of error" to go to them all.  (2 Thess 2:11,12).
