In the case of my own father, the "yoke" of the ruling class "driving others to work" was clearly evident in his compulsion to work 'doublers' (working hard for two days and nights non stop without sleep). It inevitably led to spasms of bad temper, which he demonstrated by shouting and slapping inanimate objects about in a vain attempt to allay the emotional pressure that had built up within him. If he was unable to obtain relief by this means, his anger spilled over and was violently inflicted on our bodies.  Here is a typical episode:

"It's no good you slapping your hand about those shelves and talking to yourself, Alf. We don't touch your razor! You try and remember where you put it. And if we're going out this evening, you'd better find it.  It's gone eight o'clock already,"  Mam chided.

Turning to me, she said,

"Who's he talking to Ronnie?  D'you know, that man would quarrel with his own shadow if you let him. Take no notice. I'm not taking any notice. And you break anymore dishes, Alf, and we'll have nothin' to eat our food off !"

He ignored her. They both knew exactly where the razor was supposed to be, but it had been moved. It was another ritual outlet for Dad's anger, and there were many. They were the result of tiredness through overwork and an inequitable work ethic. But let me emphasize that primarily the deception originates with those "driving others to work", particularly in the design and manufacture of so many needless things.  I use the word overwork, as my father was an outstanding case of susceptibility to the grand illusion that extra work provided one with the means to pay for one's leisure. Through overwork and excessive tiredness he was actually channelling his efforts against himself!

Occasionally, his anger would be aroused against the oft-repeated word capitalism, the 'haves' creating the 'have-nots.'  But like most men oppressively driven to work, he failed to arrive at any useful conclusions. He had no countermeasures against the blatant injustice inherent in the system. But  neither would he allow his own contributory errors to be corrected. And besides, even if the "yoke" of commercial "Babylon" was not destined to be "wrecked because of the  oil", demon  possessed men would, according to their rebellious disposition, create other destructive schemes.

The important point to be gleaned is that the errors of our forefathers cannot be blamed for our own backwardness. Perfect Spirit Law exists, originating from the Supreme Will of God. Spirit  Law is the countermeasure against corruption and the "veils" of the Grand Deception.  A case in point:  If  no  one gave their allegiance to politicians by voting for them, there would be no politicians.
