ANOTHER LIE AMONG MILLIONS OF CATHOLICS THROUGH Speaking by Holy Spirit, Paul the apostle to the nations said this: "For there is one God, and also one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus, himself man, who sacrificed himself to win freedom for all mankind, so providing, at the fitting time, proof of the Divine purpose; of this I was appointed herald and apostle (this is no lie, but the truth) to instruct the nations in the true faith". (1 Tim 2:5-7 NEB). This proves there are no other mediators between God and mankind. Those who hear the confessions of the sins of others are not mediators but liars before God, of whom the apostle Paul said: "He is the Enemy. He rises in his pride against every god, so called, every object of men's worship, and even takes his seat in the temple of God claiming to be a god himself." (2 Thess 2:4 NEB). The first expression confessed to sham mediators is: 'Forgive me father for I have sinned'. These words should be offered up in prayer to God through Christ Jesus, not to any man. After they have confessed their sins to the sham mediator they call 'father', confessors are told by this man acting as their 'father' that they are forgiven. But read what the scripture says in relation to the confession of sins: "The prayer offered in faith will save the sick man, the Lord will raise him from his bed, and any sins he may have committed will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, and then you will be healed." (James 5:15,16 NEB). It does not say or mean that we should confess our sins to a third party unconnected with our sins, but rather to confess our sins to the injured party and then to God in prayer, as it is written: "If, when you are bringing your (spiritual) gift to the altar (of God), you suddenly remember that your brother has a grievance against you, leave your gift where it is before the altar. First go and make your peace with your brother, and only then come back and offer your gift." (Matt 5:23,24 NEB). A man (or woman) who sets himself up as a perpetual listener to, and forgiver of, the sins of others, is thereby passing judgement on their sins and "claiming to be a god himself". As to the validity of
calling a sham mediator
'father',
the apostle Peter makes the position clear: "If you say 'our Father' to
the One who judges every man impartially on the record of his deeds, you must
stand in awe of Him while you live out your time on earth." (1 Peter
1:17 NEB). Yet, although knowing there is
only one Heavenly Father Jehovah, and being aware of His Holy Scriptures,
Catholics in their millions still confess their sins to mere men who sit
"in the temple of God" But what does the Word of God prophesy is the destiny of such men? "Destroyed they shall be, because they did not open their minds to love of the truth, so as to find salvation. Therefore God puts them under a delusion, which works upon them to believe the lie, so that they may all be brought to Judgement, all who do not believe the truth but make sinfulness their deliberate choice." (2 Thess 2:10-12 NEB). There are many false Christs, and many false religions. This is yet another exposure of one of the more populated false religions.
