ISAIAH
52:9 to 55:5 NEB. |
(52:9-12) |
All
anointed sons of God have escaped from spiritistic "Babylon". This
means they have escaped from sectarian religions from those falsely
claiming to worship God. And by His Spirit wisdom Jehovah has ransomed us,
allowing us to come to know the truth and to have the spirit of uncleanness
removed. Spirit truths from God, when acquired and obeyed, are the prerequisite
for deliverance by His Christ. (Rom 11:26,27). |
(52:13-15) |
Neither
the life nor the death of Jesus Christ the Son of God (now Michael the exalted
"servant" of God) was heeded by unbelievers when he was among men.
But soon the thoughts of unbelievers will be filled with the truth about him and
the life he suffered a life that was sacrificed for the redemption of mankind. |
(53:1-12) |
Centuries
before his arrival, the prophet Isaiah described the coming sufferings of the
Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. For he "bore the sin of many and interceded
for their transgressions." (53:12 NEB). |
(54:1) |
"O
barren woman" is a symbolic expression that not only describes Abraham's
wife Sarah before she gave birth to Isaac of the "seed"
of God, but is also a description of the
heavenly "woman" of God before
newly exalted. (Gen 17:15-22). It includes all those
of "Mount Zion" and heavenly "Jerusalem" described
in Hebrews 12:22-24. (See 51:1 3 NEB). |
(54:2-6) |
Here
sons of "Zion" are instructed to "Enlarge the limits of your
home". It will mean that Jehovah has given to His anointed sons greater
authority, freedom, and effective recognition. They will no longer feel shame or
reproach as they did when they were deserted for their faith in God, for He will
acknowledge them a "wife" again. |
(54:7-10) |
Jehovah forsook
His anointed sons on earth for certain matters to be proven out:
That their faith and loyalty to God might be tested while harassed by members of
the apostate "man* of lawlessness",
and that this "lawless* one" might be
revealed. (2 Thess 2:1-12). After the events which took place during the 2,300
"evenings and mornings", when Jehovah says, "I hid My face
from you for a moment", He promises never again to be angry with His
sons or to reproach them. Instead, He will show His immovable love for them
through an unshakeable covenant of peace. (Dan 8:13,14). |
(54:11-17) |
Anointed ones who
faithfully endured the 2,300 "evenings and mornings" of
testing while God had removed His protection from them, will be restored in
righteousness. Their sons will be persons taught by Jehovah, who shall enjoy
great prosperity. Sons of Zion will be free from all oppression and shall rebut
every charge brought against them. |
(55:1-5) |
Jehovah
addresses those who are spiritually "thirsty" for spirit growth
and fulfilment. The life giving "water" from God is free, but one
must listen and be obedient to His Spirit Word. Faithful ones of "Zion"
will be like David, as princes and instructors of peoples, "and nations
that do not know you shall come running to you" because the Holy One of
Israel will have glorified "Mount Zion".
