SERVANTS OF THE LORD.

"…the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but kindly towards all... qualified  to  teach, keeping himself restrained under evil, instructing with mildness those not favourably disposed…"  (From 2 Tim 2:24,25 NEB & NWT).

SERVANTS OF THE LORD SLAVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.
"You know that in the world the recognized rulers lord it over their subjects, and their great men make them feel the weight of authority. That is not the way with you; among  you, whoever wants to be great must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be the willing slave of all."  (Mark 10:42-44 NEB).

"All who wear the yoke of slavery must count their own masters worthy of all respect, so that the Name of God and the Christian teaching are not brought into disrepute. If the masters are believers, the slaves must not respect them any less for being their Christian brothers. Quite the contrary; they must be all the better servants because those who receive the benefit of their service are one with them in faith and love."  (1 Tim 6:1,2 NEB).

"…give entire obedience to your earthly masters, not merely with an outward show of service, to curry favour with men, but with single-mindedness, out of reverence for the Lord. Whatever you are doing, put your whole heart into it, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for men, knowing that there is a Master who will give you your heritage as a reward for your service. Christ is the Master whose slaves you must be."  (Col 3:22-24 NEB).

Christ said: "If anyone serves me, he must follow me; where I am, my servant will be. Whoever serves me will be honoured by my Father."  (John 12:26 NEB).

"And you people will again certainly see the distinction between a righteous one and a wicked one, between one serving God and one who has not served Him."  (Mal 3:18).

THE REWARD FOR LOYAL SERVANTS OF GOD,
AND OF THOSE THAT HAVE NOT SERVED HIM.

"Therefore these are the words of the Lord God:  My servants shall eat but you shall starve; My servants shall drink but you shall go thirsty; My servants shall rejoice but you shall be put to shame; My servants shall shout in triumph in the gladness of  their hearts, but you shall cry from sorrow and wail from anguish of spirit".  (Isaiah 65:13,14 NEB).

"…no weapon made to harm you shall prevail, and you shall rebut every charge brought against you. Such is the fortune of the servants of the Lord; their vindication comes from Me. This is the very word of the Lord."  (Isaiah 54:17 NEB).

WHY GOD ACCEPTS SERVICE FROM US.
"It is not because He lacks anything that He accepts service at men's hands, for He is Himself  the Universal Giver of life and breath and all else... and He decreed the appointed times and the set limits of the dwelling of men, for them to seek God, if they might grope for  Him  and  really  find  Him, although, in fact, He is not far off from each one of us."  (From Acts 17:25  27 NEB & NWT).

"…but, as slaves of Christ, do wholeheartedly the Will of God. Give the cheerful service of those who serve the Lord, not men. For you know that whatever good each man may do, slave or free, will be repaid him by the Lord."  (From Eph 6:6-8 NEB).
