MEN.

HUSBANDS.
"Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them."  (Col 3:19 NEB).

"In this way husbands ought to be loving their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself, for no man ever hated his own flesh; but he feeds it and cherishes it, as the Christ also does the congregation".  (Eph 5:28,29).

"In the same way, you husbands must conduct your married life with understanding: pay honour to the woman's body, not only because it is weaker, but also because you share together in the grace of God which gives you life. Then your prayers will not be hindered."  (1 Peter 3:7 NEB).

FATHERS.
"Fathers, do not exasperate (1) your children, for fear they grow disheartened."  (Col 3:21 NEB).

"You fathers, again, must not goad (2) your children to resentment, but give them the  instruction, and the correction, which belong to a Christian upbringing."  (Eph 6:4 NEB).

"The one holding back his rod is hating his son, but the one loving him is he that does look for him with discipline."  (Prov 13:24).

'Parents who wilfully ignore the Word of the Lord, have offspring who wilfully ignore their word in issues that matter.'  (R. Thomas).
