"For behold, the LORD, the LORD of hosts is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water; the mighty man and the soldier, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder..." (Isaiah 3:1,2 RSV). Jehovah is taking away His spiritual "food" from unsealed JW 'elders' appointed to positions of authority and thereby guilty of apostasy in Christ's congregations: All who have spiritually warred against, falsely judged, falsely prophesied against, and falsely condemned spiritual sons of "Judah" and "Jerusalem". (3:1-3 RSV). Apostate teachings masquerading as spiritual "food" shall become so discredited in the minds of JW congregation members that "the people will oppress one another", "the youth will be insolent to the elder" and mere "boys" claiming to be "princes" will rule over them! (3:4,5 RSV). Though the people may look for others to lead them, they will fear the consequences of leading such an "overthrown mass" and refuse: "I will not be a healer; in my house there is neither bread nor mantle ("robe of office". Moffatt); you shall not make me leader of the people." (3:6,7 RSV & NWT).
By the consuming Spirit of the
Lord's Judgement within them Jehovah will remove the "dungy idols" of so When the self-appointed "daughters of Zion" witness the deaths of their apostate husbands and sons (men who annexed the spiritual "land" with their own apostate kind), their congregational "houses" will become "an outright object of astonishment, without an inhabitant." (5:8,9). After mourning their deaths, several women will appeal to faithful male servants of God to marry them to take away the reproach of still bearing the name of their dead apostate husbands who warred against the Spirit of God. (3:24-26 & 4:1 RSV). "THE
PLANT THAT THE LORD HAS GROWN". (4:2 NEB). When "Jehovah will have washed away the excrement of the daughters of Zion" and "rinsed away even the bloodshed of Jerusalem" by a consuming Spirit of Judgement and "burning", He will create over every established assembly of Mount Zion a protective cloud canopy by day and a flaming fire by night. These festivals of booths will be places of shelter and refuge, in which the spiritually obedient male offspring of faithful anointed ones will be the "princes" of the "new earth" and will administer true justice under the "new heavens" of faithful anointed sons of God. (Isaiah 4:4-6. 32:1,2. 65:17-19).
