THE DESPOILERS.

"Their best one is like a briar, their
most upright one is worse than a thorn hedge. The day of your watchmen,
of your being given attention, must come. Now will occur the confounding of
them." (Micah 7:4).

"Woe to
you who are despoiling, without you yourself being despoiled,
and to you who are dealing treacherously, without others having dealt
treacherously with you! As soon as you have finished as a despoiler,
you will be despoiled. As soon as you have done with dealing
treacherously, they will deal treacherously with you."

THE
FULFILMENT.
The will of the majority of Israelis
has been to promote the despoiling of Palestinians by the
segregation, suppression, and eradication of them. They demonstrate
this by electing certain types of Israeli men as their leaders men they regard as "nobles" and "princes" to carry out
their will.
But the Spirit of justice from the "altar hearth of God" (Ar'i.el*)
will be administered on behalf of spiritual "Jerusalem",*
which will cause those of "Shar'on" (1)
to be despoiled and levelled "like the desert plain". (Isaiah 29:1-8 & 33:9).
Jehovah has to "make things tight" for those of His Spirit
"altar"*
class in order to exclude "the crowd of the tyrants" "waging
war against Ar'i.el". (29:2-8). "Nobles" and
"princes" with "Edomite" dispositions must vanish,
"and it must occur in an instant, suddenly." "Her nobles
there
are none there whom they will call to the kingship itself, and her very princes
will all become nothing. On her dwelling towers thorns (2)
must come up, nettles and thorny (2)
weeds in her fortified places".
This is the fate of the despoilers! (34:12,13).
Without spiritual "fruitage" from God, Lebanon will be "eaten away",
those of "Shar'on" (1)
will "become a desert" (barren), and those of Ba'shan and Car'mel
"stripped bare." (33:9 NEB).
"NOW I WILL RISE UP," SAYS JEHOVAH. (33:10).
His rising up will mean
long-lasting spirit conflagrations for Israeli "nobles" and
"princes", and for the advocates of their will,
as it is written: "Your own spirit, as a fire, will eat you up."
Losing demonic inspiration, they "must become as the burnings of lime. As
thorns (2)
cut away, they will be set ablaze even with fire."
(33:11,12).
But "he who lives uprightly, just in word and deed" in fulfilment
of Isaiah 33:15-24 will see "the King in all His splendour",
and gaze upon the "broad domain" of God. (33:17 Moffatt).
For: "The people that are dwelling in the land
will be those
pardoned for their error." (33:24). Until then we must wait for God to
sweep "the crowd of the tyrants" from His land like "chaff".
Then: "The wilderness and the waterless region will exult, and the desert
plain will be joyful and blossom as the saffron… The glory of Lebanon itself
must be given to it, the splendour of Car'mel and of Shar'on. There will be
those who will see the glory of Jehovah, the splendour of our God."
(35:1,2).
