"MEN GATHERING FROM THE FOUR WINDS
OF HEAVEN TO WAGE WAR"? HOW?

"Next I saw an innumerable host of men gathering from the four winds of heaven to wage war on the man who had risen from the sea." (2 Esdras 13:5 NEB).

The "innumerable host of men" are all those who "leave their own territories and their separate wars" and unite with a common intent to wage war on "the man who had risen from the sea." (13:33,34 NEB). Just as it is beyond the power of any man to explore and discover all that is in the deep sea, so no one can see this "man" the Son of God and his company of heavenly anointed brothers until the appointed day that heralds the "Jacob" age where righteousness is to dwell. (13:51,52 NEB).

THE "VAST MOUNTAIN" HE "HEWED OUT" "FOR HIMSELF". (13:6 NEB).
This "mountain" is heavenly "Mount Zion" the "City of the Living God" described in Hebrews 12:22-24. It consists of 144,000 Spirit anointed men enrolled in the heavens whose spirits have been perfected ('hewn') by the Son of God, myriads of angels in general assembly, Almighty God the Judge of all, the spirits of righteous ones made perfect, and The Christ Michael the mediator of the "new covenant". (2 Cor 3:6 NEB). The "summit" of "Mount Zion" is the spiritual location where the Son of Man, now The Christ Michael, will take his stand against those gathered to wage war against him. (13:35,36 NEB).

WHEN ZION IS "FULLY BUILT".
"On hearing his voice, all the nations will leave their own territories and their separate wars, and unite in a countless host, as you saw in your vision, with a common intent to go and wage war against him. He will take his stand on the summit of Mount Zion, and Zion will come into sight before all men, complete and fully built." (13:33-36 NEB). This will mean the full complement of 144,000 faithful anointed "new covenant" members is gathered. But how will Godless enemies of our Lord Michael 'hear' his Spirit "voice"? It will be by the Spirit of the Lord's Judgement as a "fire" within them. Already he has taunted Godless ones with their "evil plottings" and the tortures they are soon to endure by the "flame" of devouring fires! (See Page 8/7/88). And without effort he will destroy them by the condemnatory Judgement of the Spirit Law of God like "fire" in their rebellious spirits. His Spirit "voice" will convict, taunt and destroy these enemies of God. (13:37,38 NEB).

The important question is: How will enemies of our Lord Michael wage war against such awesome destructive power? By wilfully taking a stand against the Spirit Law of God and His Kingdom Rule. Though filled with fear, in spirit rebellion they will gather with a common intent to wage war against His Son The Christ Michael, against his faithful anointed brothers, and the incoming Kingdom Rule of Almighty God. They will even seek ways to delay or prevent The Christ Michael's peaceful Spirit objectives taking hold in the minds and spirits of men. But the Spirit Law of God is what will judge them and bring about their fiery destruction.

The Christ Michael's taunting of them with their "evil plottings and the tortures they are soon to endure" by fire has already melted some "like wax", serving as a warning to the rest of mankind gathered in spirit rebellion against God. (13:3,4. 13:37,38. 9:7-12 NEB).
