THE ADMINISTRATION OF MERCY
ACCORDING TO WISDOM. (1)

Only to the deserving should mercy be shown, that it may have its work complete. (Matt 5:7 NEB). Otherwise, persistent offenders would view the mercy being extended to them as a licence to continue sinning against God and mankind.  (Heb 10:26,27 NEB).

The criterion for exercising mercy should not be solely in consideration of the recipient, but should also be in consideration of society at large. For mercy is only such when it is wisely administered. For those directly involved in the passing of judgement in courts of law, the administration of mercy is a great responsibility, and should be directed toward the ultimate goal of disposing of its need. By this I mean, the proper exercise of mercy according to wisdom. (James 1:5,6 NEB). As a particular example of this, only by the elimination of deprivation among mankind and the fulfilment of their physical and spiritual needs is it possible to implement true justice and thwart disruptive individuals intent on committing crimes against society. It therefore follows, that while unjust deprivation prevails there is less opportunity to extend mercy, for the extension of mercy to an individual or society is only possible when the Spirit of justice prevails.

Sadly, at present, the majority of mankind are so morally deaf that they do not want to hear about true justice. Consequently, the quality of mercy, and knowledge of it, finds no place in them. This is evident in the political tyranny of those governing society today. Through the employment of diverse forms of political control, such as oppression, persecution, intimidation and imprisonment, all enshrined in law to suppress the rights of the people, those in authority have effectively become foremost in the promotion of crime and the rapid increase in civil disorder.

To restore a sense of true justice on earth, there is no alternative (to alter natives to) other than to abandon such ill  conceived policies and dispose of instituted deprivation. This will permit the exercise of true mercy by those spiritually qualified according to accurate knowledge of the Will of God for mankind. Spiritual countermeasures against disobedience only exist within the allocated spiritual boundaries of God for mankind     knowledge which has been given to Spirit anointed sons of God to administer from heaven.  (Rev 20:4-6.  1 Peter 2:4-10).

The existing legal system is scripturally described as an "object of fear" as to the bad deed. (Rom 13:3). True  mercy can only be exercised as to the good deed (toward that end). This is how mercy is wisely and deservingly extended to an individual, without fear of retribution while he or she continues to live according to its spiritual obligations.  (James 2:12,13 NEB).

The rule of the political "wild beast" is domination through fear of retribution. (Rev 13:15,16). Its judgements are based on political expediency, without mercy from "the authorities and potentates of this dark world"(Eph 6:12 NEB). Its officers formulate laws that are politically biased towards its continuance, receiving disproportionate financial rewards (bribes) from those it claims to protect. In addition, safeguards have been embedded in the legal system for the privileged few, so that those who can afford to pay fines and legal costs may escape punishment, while those unable to pay (the deprived) are imprisoned.  (Isaiah 10:1-4 NEB).

Living by the moral virtues of a Godly nature are the only qualities making for peace. Politically instituted imprisonment does not promote mercy or justice. Inmates become embittered, and are finally released into society more disruptive and destructive than before.
