"FOR JEHOVAH WILL RISE UP JUST AS
JEHOVAH DIRECTS ME TO "GO AROUND
TO EXPOSE THEIR DUNGY IDOLS,
While I denounce this woman for
attempting to teach from the scriptures in her book (the God Her observations describe her frustration and dismay at the unbearable coldness of members of this sect, particularly prevalent among their unqualified so-called 'elders', a trait which still permeates 'that stale, dry religion (which was a form of servitude)'. (Pg.222).
In the pages that follow there are
quotations from her observations which characterize the hard By going "around to the rear of them", I am fulfilling the spiritual counterpart of King David when he went around to the rear of his enemies at Mount Perazim: "Jehovah has broken through my enemies ahead of me, like a gap made by waters." (2 Sam 5:20). For their dungy idol overseers will be swept away by the flooding torrent that is the Spirit of the Lord's Judgement, for they are a people who have "gone astray in their seeing" and do not have the love of God among them. (Isaiah 30:27,28 & 28:7). So I am going "around to the rear of them" to recall their behaviour and activities.
The author confessed that:
'...God didn't live in my religion... He lived
somewhere else (not in my heart).' (Pg. 201).
More light was thrown on this subject when she witnessed the following events:
A congregation member called Mike, who had a weak heart, was talking about
his delight in being able to go preaching from door to door again, when suddenly
he clutched his chest and began to gasp for air. He was dying of a heart attack.
A respected
'elder'
from Watchtower* headquarters who was
there, instead of helping him, launched into an interminable story about the
people he had known who had been taken unaware by death.
'"I
knew someone else who died like that," he said, looking at Mike.' (Pg.201).
Another
'elder',
whose concern was
'how to keep Mike's daughter from "going
overboard with immoderate grief"'
said to her:
'"See if you can take Mike's daughter out
preaching with you tomorrow morning... It'll keep her mind from selfishness."'
(Pg.202). This
so-called
'elder'
had no compassion and yet they appointed him*
to shepherd a congregation of God? Really? With this in mind,
please read
1 Corinthians 13:1 Even The Christ answered those who questioned him, but the dungy idols (so-called 'elders') of this sect view such questions as a threat to their authority: 'Nobody ever told me that all believers doubt, or that the logical consequences of the possession of free will is to question'. (Pg.202). I too discovered that so-called JW 'elders' regard searching questions as totally unacceptable. They said that it would 'undermine the authority of the local body of elders'. (See Page 847 of The Opened "Little Scroll"). (Cont. on Page 7/8/89B).
