CONCERNING THOSE UNRECONCILED TO GOD.
(2 Corinthians 5:16-20).

Although the Holy Word of God through His Christ was written down by His servants long ago, and is The Authority that provides the reason for our existence in the flesh, comparatively few people accept this all important knowledge.  (1 Tim 2:3-6). Sadly, the ignorant masses live their lives blindly until death.  (2 Cor 4:3,4 NEB).

To continue to live in ignorance of the reason for their lives is a sad indictment, for they are squandering all hope of life after their earthly deaths. Through The Christ Michael the Son of God, the opportunity to gain everlasting heavenly life after one's earthly death has been made known to mankind by God. (Rom 16:25  27 NEB). We may only achieve it by our return to God on the "Way of Holiness" through The Christ, that one's spirit may be created in readiness for everlasting life in the spirit paradise of God.  (Isaiah 35:8  10).

Perhaps the overwhelming majority cannot come to terms with their spirits being created by a Heavenly Authority transcending their own will. Or perhaps they recoil at the prospect of persecution from puzzled friends and family if they were to begin putting on the new nature that belongs to Christ. (John 15:18  21 NEB)  (1 Peter 4:3  6).  But  only when people dedicate their lives to God do they begin to subject themselves to His Will.

As to the imperfect flesh we inherited because the first man Adam refused to be obedient, the progressive creation of the spirits of obedient ones does not depend upon the inherited sin of Adam, but depends only upon God and the decision taken by each individual to live according to His spiritual instructions through The Christ. (1 Cor 15:22).  His instructions are part of a "new covenant" in which the Spirit Law of God is written in the hearts of those who are willingly obedient, and who offer spirit sacrifices to God through the removal of superfluous badness from their spirits in accordance with His expressed Will. (Heb 8:6-10). When we offer to God a vow to dedicate our lives to carry out His Will, we symbolize this by water baptism, that our spirits may be spiritually created by God.

GOD AND MONEY.
The words of The Christ in Matthew 6:24 are particularly pertinent for unbelievers: "No servant can be the slave of two masters; for either he will hate the first and love the second, or he will be devoted to the first and think nothing of the second. You cannot serve God and Money". (NEB).  Money proves to be a major obstacle for many unbelievers. They may be aware that servants of God are often poor as to material possessions. But they are rich in the spiritual things of God. What does this mean?  It means that while living in the flesh true servants of God store up "treasures in heaven", having their characters moulded with the spiritual qualities required to live everlastingly in heaven after their earthly deaths. (Matt 6:19-21). For unbelievers the difficulty lies in the knowledge that this can only be achieved through the exercise of faith in God, living according to His righteous principles.

That is why the apostle John wrote: "Do not set your hearts on the Godless world or anything in it. Anyone who loves the world is a stranger to the Father's love. Everything the world affords, all that panders to the appetites or entices the eyes, all the glamour of its life, springs not from the Father but from the Godless world. And that world is passing away with all its allurements, but he who does God's Will stands for evermore."  (1 John 2:15-17 NEB).
