"The man who looks closely into the perfect Law, the Law that makes us free, and who lives in its company, does not forget what he hears, but acts upon it; and that is the man who by acting will find happiness." (James 1:25 NEB). "Always speak and act as men who are to be judged under a Law of freedom." (James 2:12 NEB). "You, my friends, were called to be free men; only do not turn your freedom into licence for your lower nature, but be servants to one another in love." (Gal 5:13 NEB). "Live as free men; not however as though your freedom were there to provide a screen for wrongdoing, but as slaves in God's service." (1 Peter 2:16 NEB). "'I am free to do anything', you say. Yes, but not everything is for my good. No doubt I am free to do anything, but I for one will not let anything make free with me." (1 Cor 6:12 NEB).
