FEAR.

"There is no fear in love, but perfect love throws fear outside, because fear exercises a  restraint.  Indeed, he that is under fear has not been made perfect in love."  (1 John 4:18).

'Do not look forward to the changes and chances of this life in fear;  rather look to them with full hope that, as they arise, God, whose you are, will deliver you out of them. He has kept you hitherto,    do you but hold fast to His dear hand, and He will lead you safely through all things;  and, when you cannot stand, He will bear you in His arms. Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow;  the same everlasting Father who cares for you today, will take care of you tomorrow, and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.  Be at peace then, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.'  (F. De Sales).

"But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are happy. However, the object of their fear do not you fear, neither become agitated."  (1 Peter 3:14).

"Do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul.  Fear Him rather who is able to destroy both body and soul in hell."  (Matt 10:28 NEB).

"…for God Himself has said, 'I will never leave you or desert you';  and so we can take courage and say, 'The Lord is my helper, I will not fear; what can man do to me?'"  (From Heb 13:5,6 NEB).
