"THIS IS THE PLAN PREPARED FOR
THE WHOLE EARTH". (Isaiah 14:26 NEB).

Spiritistic "Babylon" exists within sectarian religions of all nations, whose members practice sin behind the guise of religion. Jehovah will soon give His people relief from the cruel slavery laid upon them by this "brood of evildoers" employed by satan the "king of Babylon". (Isaiah 14:3,4 & 20 NEB).

ISLAM IS BEING SWEPT WITH THE "BESOM OF DESTRUCTION". (14:23 NEB).
Islam is one of the principal parts of sectarian "Babylon", with a worldwide following of around 600 million. In recent years the "besom of destruction" from God has been in the form of war and earthquakes in countries such as Iran, Iraq and Lebanon sweeping away satan's evil power by the annihilation of millions of Muslims. (14:22,23 NEB). This is an example of the evil power of satan being felled, "sprawling helpless across the nations!" (14:12 NEB). The recent earthquake in Iran is yet another example, sweeping 50,000 Muslims to their deaths. (20th June 1990).

There are many other sectarian religions of "Babylon" claiming to be worshippers of God. Among them are Hindus, Buddhists, Confucians, Taoists, Shintoists, Judaism, Roman Catholics, Protestants, Eastern Orthodox, Jehovah's Witnesses, Methodists, Baptists, etc. They are among the scripturally described oppressors of God's people who falsely claim to worship God but in response to evil influence and sectarian leadership actually worship satan the tyrant "king of Babylon" who said, "I will... make myself like the Most High." (14:14 NEB). However, Jehovah has a "plan prepared for the whole earth", and "who shall turn it back?" (14:27 NEB). An example of His plan are the millions of Ethiopians that have already been swept away by the "four families" of destruction. (See Pages 4/2/85A and 4/2/85B). Lebanon too is being swept by the "besom of destruction" through war, until it becomes "no better than scrub". (29:17 NEB).

Before being slaughtered for continuing in the sins of their forefathers, the "brood of evildoers" are judged as to their ill-treatment of faithful anointed sons of God ("My mountains". 14:25 NEB). Those who through demonic activity have taken oppressive measures against people of God to suppress them, thereby demonstrate their loyalty to the "king of Babylon". (14:4 NEB). As for those of the Godless "Assyrian", they too demonstrate the same disposition as their evil father, satan. The intention of these enemies of God has been to assist satan in his attempt to set his throne "high above the stars of God". (14:13 NEB).

On the Day of the Lord's anger, as He sweeps away this "brood of evildoers" of sectarian "Babylon", they and the "king of Babylon" shall be brought down to the "depths of the abyss." (14:15 & 19 NEB). Those who place themselves under satan's evil influence are slaughtered for continuing in the sins of their forefathers. Jehovah has said, "they shall not rise up and possess the world nor cover the face of the earth with cities. I will rise against them, says the Lord of Hosts; I will destroy the name of Babylon and what remains of her, her offspring and posterity, says the Lord". (14:21,22 NEB). Jehovah will not allow men of sectarian violence who have "turned the world into a desert and laid its cities in ruins" to dominate the earth. (14:17 NEB). So in the war currently being waged between Iran and Iraq, millions have died in vain. Our Lord would not destroy a city inhabited by righteous people of God. A warning and means of escape would be provided for them. (See Gen 18:20 33).
