THE "WILD BEAST", THE "TEN HORNS", The symbolic and composite "image" of the "wild beast" on earth, described in the Revelation to John, is itself an "eighth king" that "springs from the seven" in that it has the Godless characteristics of the seven previous individual world rulers that once dominated the world. (Rev 17:11. 13:15). When the apostle John wrote down this Revelation, the sixth world ruler or "king" was then in power. (17:10). The "wild beast" receives its political authority from satan the "dragon". (13:4). The "ten* horns" that receive worldwide authority as kings for "one hour" with the "wild beast" are the delegates of the United Nations. (17:12). For "one hour" they share with the "wild beast" the exercise of royal authority. "For they have but a single purpose among them" and so "confer their power and authority upon the beast" in their war against the Kingdom developments of the "Lamb" The Christ Michael. (17:13 NEB). But because the "Lamb" is Lord of lords and King of kings, he and his faithful anointed brothers will conquer them. (17:14 NEB). (Ten* denotes the whole number).
"BABYLON THE GREAT". On the "bloated wealth" of "Babylon the great" "merchants the world over have grown rich". (18:3 NEB). "Yes, in her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth." (18:24). These killings have been in a literal and spiritual sense. People remaining in "Babylon" will share in her sins and will therefore receive part of her "plagues" and inevitable destruction, "because Jehovah God, who judged her, is strong." (18:4-8).
THE "WILD BEAST" AND ITS "TEN HORNS" HATE THE
"HARLOT".
THE "GREAT EVENING MEAL OF GOD".
