"Woman in quietness let her be learning in all subjection; to be teaching but to woman not I am permitting, nor to be playing master of male person, but to be in quietness."  ( 1 Timothy 2:11,12)  (Translated from the Greek text by Westcott and Hort).

THE REASON GIVEN FOR THE ABOVE RESTRICTION.
"…it  was  not  Adam  who  was  deceived;  it  was  the  woman  who,  yielding  to  deception,  fell  into  sin."  (1 Timothy 2:14 NEB).

Despite being without the evil influence of satan effected upon him, Adam sinned. He listened to his wife's voice instead of listening to the authority of God. (Gen 3:17). The woman was used by satan to exert influence on the man Adam. It is a pattern often repeated today.

The Christ's apostles made it clear that discernment of the prophecies of the Word of  God are to be carried out by men borne along by Holy Spirit. (1 John 2:26,27 and 2 Peter 1:21 NWT) The word from our Lord does not reach solely as far as women, or as far as unsealed men. Husbands must be taught the Word of God by Spirit anointed men, and women, in turn, are to be taught by their spiritually instructed husbands.  (See 1 Cor 14:35-37 NWT).

Sadly, over successive generations, women have learned how to successfully master men and domineer over them. For years, women have attended religious meetings to watch other disobedient women teach men and women from the pulpit, knowingly disregarding The Christ's words through the apostle Paul that it is prohibited by God. (1 Cor 14:33-37). Because Almighty God does not bless such disobedience, they can make no further spiritual progress. Instead, they choose to work at moulding the sinful dispositions of their husbands so that such men become their glory, under them. They raise their voices so that men listen solely to their voice and their self-will. Eventually, they become like men, except that on occasion they use feminine wiles to achieve their empty goal of a Godless relationship.

Some women claim 1 Timothy 2:11,12 applies only to how they must behave in church. Wrong!  The  Christ's work in his congregations is to spiritually readjust the lives of us all, so that in our God given positions we may become Christlike through his subjecting of us in every moment of our lives.  (1 Cor 15:27,28).

Domineering women, particularly those of advanced learning qualifying them for positions in this Godless world, are merely qualified to live out their meaningless lives without God. They cannot begin to understand the purpose of God, or learn the real meaning of life (i.e.) the humble "Way" of The Christ to gain everlasting spirit life. (John 14:6). Only the humiliation of repeated reproof could possibly transform a domineering woman.

Anointed men who persevere in doing the Lord's will down to the end, and conquer the world, will be given authority over all nations. They will shepherd people with an "iron rod" and "break to pieces" all forms of Godless disobedience. (Rev 2:26,27). Some will be broken without healing. "A man (or woman) repeatedly reproved but making his (or her) neck hard will suddenly be broken, and that without healing."  (Prov 29:1 NWT).

The righteous alternative to being a domineering wife, is to be a helpful complement of one's husband, to help him conquer his weaknesses. When wives willingly fulfil their God-given place, they are happy, and have an enjoyable and peaceful relationship with God and their husbands     able to weather life's stormy times with unshakeable love.
