ARE YOU AN UNSEALED SHAM
'ELDER', "Do not severely criticize an older man. To the contrary, entreat him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters with all chasteness." (1 Tim 5:1,2 NWT) (See NEB, RSV & Moffatt translations). These words were written by Paul, whom Christ appointed
as apostle to the nations. However, Paul did severely criticize a
congregation "elder", namely the apostle Peter,
for separating himself from the Gentiles and associating only with natural born Jews
while in fear of those of the circumcised class. (Gal 2:11 JWs erroneously teach that an "older man" is one deemed (by them) to have certain spiritual qualifications, and maintain that this scripture has nothing to do with men who as a father are older or more aged than younger members. Their twisting of this scriptural teaching has led to this sect appointing many young men as sham 'elders' to be obeyed as the authority in JW congregations, even over men who are much older. Consequently, and for many years, the sect of JWs has been appointing large numbers of unqualified young men to be their so-called 'older men' or 'elders'. Many have subsequently been exposed as child sex abusers molesting children! As of July 2002, there were 23,720 reported cases of child sex abuse committed by JW members worldwide. These cases, held on a JW database, serve as conclusive proof that spiritually unqualified men are appointing spiritually unqualified men. This sect refuses to excommunicate paedophiles unless the sexually abused children can provide witnesses to the acts of sexual abuse committed against them by adult JW members. How could anyone suggest that victims of child sex abuse provide witnesses to watch as the child is sexually abused, as required by this sect! (See 1 Tim 5:19). But while 1 Timothy 3:10 clearly requires that a minister
of a congregation should be "free from accusation", instead of rooting
out such evil-doers from their congregations, JWs have been transferring them to minister in other districts!
(1 Cor 5:11 Because "they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness", God has let "an operation of error go to them, that they may get to believing the lie". They are perishing because "they did not accept the love of the truth." (2 Thess 2:10-12 NWT). They will be done away with by the Spirit of The Christ's mouth and the manifestation of his presence according to denunciations such as these and those contained in The Opened "Little Scroll". (See 2 Thess 2:8 NWT & Rev 10:8-11). Although not personally responsible for acts of sexual abuse
themselves, those willingly attending JW congregations will share in the destiny of sexual
abusers in the Judgement of God.
