THE SO-CALLED AYATOLLAH KHOMEINI
"And he shall bring low
three kings." (7:24 NEB). In the year 1979 Ayatollah Khomeini did "humiliate" and "bring low" the sovereign ruler of Persia Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi (1919-1980) by "dissimulation and intrigue". During 1979-80 there was conducted an organized and successful stratagem in Iran to "humiliate" and "bring low" the American President and second "king" Jimmy Carter through the American hostage negotiations and the subsequent unsuccessful attempts to rescue them. In 1986-87 the American President Ronald Reagan, the third "king", is now being humiliated and brought low over the negotiations to exchange military arms for the return of American hostages. It has failed, and he too is being humiliated and brought low by Khomeini. This eleventh "king", out of the fourth "beast" has other scriptural symbolic identities, such as the "warrior king" and the "contemptible creature". (7:23,24 & 11:3,21 NEB). After the devouring activities of Khomeini in Iran and in other countries has come to an end, and the harassment and wearing down of the holy ones of God by satan is brought to an end, the Heavenly Court of God will sit in Judgement. Then satan will be deprived of his sovereignty "so that in the end it may be destroyed and abolished." Rulership over all kingdoms under heaven will then be given to the holy ones of the Supreme One Almighty God, forever. All rulerships will serve and obey them. (7:25-27 NEB & NWT). As for "the fourth kingdom that will come to be on the earth, that will be different from all other kingdoms" and that "will devour all the earth and will trample it down and crush it" (7:23), this is the religious "horn" of Islamic terrorism. It consists of Sunni and Shi'ite members and other breakaway sects conducting a Jihad ('struggle') against those who reject Islam. In the Mecca Declaration 1981, Islamic powers pledged a Jihad against Israel, though not necessarily a military attack.
