JEHOVAH BAN.

ATHENS (AP) A Jehovah's Witnesses official accused the Greek Orthodox church of persecuting the sect and condemned a court ruling barring it from Crete. (The Independent. 24/1/87).

"By the manifestation of his presence" The Christ Michael will bring to nothing the composite "man of lawlessness". (2 Thess 2:3-8). This "wickedness" has been revealed in its "human form". (2:3 NEB). Consequently, other sectarian religions that gave consent to the presence of this apostate sect falsely calling themselves Jehovah's Witnesses* within their nation will begin to experience fear during The Christ's Spirit manifestation and presence. It will instigate positive action: All members of this sect will be ostracized by the inhabitants of each nation just as Jehovah has prophesied:

"You have kept the precepts of Om'ri; what the house of Ahab did, you have done; you have followed all their ways. So I will lay you utterly waste; the nations shall jeer at your citizens, and their insults you shall bear... to the end that I may make you an object of astonishment and her inhabitants something to be whistled at; and the reproach of peoples you men will bear." (Micah 6:16 NEB & NWT).

The ostracism, insults and censure will intensify until they are all exposed and brought to nothing by the total cessation of their apostate activities and teaching. The Spirit of The Christ Michael will not permit them to pacify their apostate consciences with claims of religious persecution. They are to become an "object of astonishment" among all nations.

Whether they are ostracized by the State, or by society at large, does not necessarily mean that those imposing a ban against this apostate class have come to know God, or that by their actions they are obeying the "good news" through The Christ Jesus.

The apostasy was the withdrawal of a people from God after coming to an accurate knowledge of the truth. (Hebrews 10:26 31). Regarding His Judgement through heavenly angels, Jehovah God has ordered: "...and from My sanctuary you should start." (Ezek 9:4-7). This means they will start with those deemed nearest to His sanctuary, those who acquired accurate knowledge of the Will of God but corrupted themselves. This makes them most accountable in the Judgement.

OSTRACISM:	Originally, a political device to preserve order in ancient Athens. As a result of votes written on oyster-shells (Gk. ostraka, whence the name), political personages might be exiled for a period of ten years. (Hutchinson's Encyclopaedia).
BAN:	Anathema, curse and denunciation, prohibition, etc. Practical outlawry, denunciation by society or public opinion.
BARRING:	Excluding from consideration.
