"But after three days and a half the breath
of life from God entered them; they stood on their feet (terror fell on those
who saw them) and heard a loud voice from heaven telling them, "Come up here."
So up to heaven they went in a cloud, before the eyes of their enemies."
(Rev 11:11,12 Moffatt).
THEIR ENEMIES:
WHO ARE THEY? (Rev 11:11-13 NWT & Moffatt).
After the 3½ years during which enemies of God "trampled" on
the "sanctuary" and dashed the power of His holy people, His
"two witnesses", The Christ in heaven and his anointed brothers on
earth, hear a "loud voice" from heaven say to them: "Come up
here".
(Rev 11:1 3.
Dan 12:7). This "loud voice"
reveals the denunciations of God upon apostate enemies. It is not a loud voice
in the literal sense. These denunciations, understood and spiritually accepted
as the truth from God, are relayed through His faithful Spirit anointed sons.
Although adversely affecting them, their enemies will realize their
transgressions by the Spirit of the Lord's Judgement: "and their
enemies beheld them." (11:12).
These apostate enemies are
unfaithful covenant-leavers and their followers, described in Daniel 11:30-32.
By being told to, "Come up here", faithful anointed sons of God
are given spiritual knowledge and authority to make these heavenly instructions
known to people on earth. When their enemies behold their transgressions, the
spiritual "land" of God will experience an upheaval
likened to an earthquake, which will destroy seven thousand covenant-leavers a tenth
of the "City" of God. (11:13). These enemies are to be
refined out for their apostate activities during the period when faithful
anointed sons of God were usurped and removed by unsealed
'elders'
"trampling" them in JW congregations during the "forty-two months"
(1,260 days), which ended January 19th 1979. (11:1-3). According to the
Judgement of God, those who remain loyal to Him are members of the "City"
of 144,000 Spirit anointed sons and are proclaimed a heavenly Kingdom of priests
and kings.
(Rev 14:1-5)
(Rev 5:9,10).
The prophecy of Isaiah
chapter 5 reveals how enemies of God would behave toward His faithful
anointed sons. Verse 8 reveals how they have ostracized and
excommunicated His sons until "you men have been made to dwell all by
yourselves in the midst of the land!" This "land" is the
spiritual "land" of God on earth. Enemies of God deny anointed
sons of God access to congregations by "joining house to house"
through apostate schooling at JW
'kingdom halls' and
'book studies' and "annex"
field territory through repeated
'house to house' calls to thwart
any attempts by anointed members of the "temple" of God to instruct them in the
spiritual teachings of God.
Jehovah has sworn that
"many houses, though (supposedly) great and good, will become an
outright object of astonishment, without an inhabitant." (5:9). For
while they seek the counsel of the Holy One of Israel saying, "Let His
work hasten; do let it come quickly, in order that we may see it; and let the
counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!"
their wicked deeds belie their claim. (5:18 20).
"IN CONSIDERATION OF A BRIBE"? (Isaiah 5:23).
As confirmation of the identity of apostate enemies of God, they
accepted an inducement to pervert the course of justice and righteousness
"in consideration of a bribe". "By means of specious promises he
(satan) shall pervert those who bring guilt upon the
nation." (Dan 11:32 Moffatt). The inducement offered was appointment to
the office of unsealed
'elder' in congregational
"houses" of JWs. But to achieve this, it was necessary for satan to
remove from JW congregations the "constant feature" of faithful
anointed sons of God. Apostate covenant leavers and unsealed
'elders' did this through the
"breaking of Law" perverting the
"times and Law" of God to
make their reasons for ostracizing and excommunicating faithful anointed sons of
God seem plausible to congregation members. (Isaiah 5:7) (See 1975 JW
Yearbook. Pg. 248 & 250).
